Rich Posted June 15, 2014 Report Posted June 15, 2014 Saw these tweets from Wiebe today As per @TSNBobMcKenzie #NHLJets file for club-elected salary arbitration with Michael Frolik, who becomes an RFA on July 1 — Ken Wiebe (@WiebeSunSports) June 15, 2014 Not a big concern with #NHLJets filing since both the team and Michael Frolik are committed to coming to terms on a long-term deal — Ken Wiebe (@WiebeSunSports) June 15, 2014 Any guesses on what he is going to sign for? I'm thinking 3 - 4 year @ an average of 3.5 - 4M. Floyd 1
Mr Dee Posted June 15, 2014 Report Posted June 15, 2014 Any guesses on what he is going to sign for? I'm thinking 3 - 4 year @ an average of 3.5 - 4M. Sweet deal coming for Frolik Soon to be singing "Ma, ma, ma, my Kurona".
The Unknown Poster Posted June 16, 2014 Report Posted June 16, 2014 4 years $3.75. Just to split the difference. Versatile player.
Goalie Posted June 16, 2014 Report Posted June 16, 2014 4 but wouldn't shock me if its 5. between 3.5 and 4 million.
Jimmy Pop Posted June 16, 2014 Report Posted June 16, 2014 Only 26 still....I'm fine with 4/5 yr term. $$$ mentioned here seems reasonable, < $4M. Get 'er done and get on to the hard decisions...Pavelec, Kane, etc.
The Unknown Poster Posted June 16, 2014 Report Posted June 16, 2014 If Frolik is being pencilled in as a top six forward (I'd prefer 3rd line but I think he works as a second line RW with Ladd & Little), it helps make Buff expendable. It means Buff continues as a 3rd line RW/LW which is not the best use of him. As a hybrid player he *does* play more minutes than the usual 3rd liner with PP time but I'd prefer to trade him and use a cheaper player on the 3rd line.
