Mr. Perfect Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 Hopefully he does better than our last quarterback from Louisiana-Munroe...
JuranBoldenRules Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 Lefty Can anyone recall the last good CFL QB who was a lefty, other than Stefan LeFors of course? I can't.
Mike Posted June 19, 2014 Author Report Posted June 19, 2014 Hopefully he does better than our last quarterback from Louisiana-Munroe... No kidding.
Doublezero Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 Hmmmm. A lefty. Oh well, Bellefeuille and O'Shea are both lefties. So they understand this reverse spin, seeing better under water, attacking the right side of the defence stuff.
gbill2004 Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 Right tackle would be much more important as they'd be protecting his blind side.
Goalie Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 I don't think it really matters what arm he uses to throw the ball, from the video there, he has a pretty decent arm, always leading receivers instead of making them stop and catch it, has some pretty quick mobility and when he is scrambling always seems to keep his eyes down field looking for the pass. He looks good in that video for sure.
Doublezero Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 Hopefully he does better than our last quarterback from Louisiana-Munroe... No kidding. Kid's got wheels, and we liked that about Jyles too, didn't we?
Captain Blue Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 Gotta think Max Hall is a goner after this. Goalie 1

Kid's got wheels, and we liked that about Jyles too, didn't we? Wheels and a pretty good arm according to the highlight pack. All you need according some geniuses.
TBURGESS Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 The end of Hall? Marve won't take the PR? A new QB at this time of the year is pretty weird. You'd think they'd want a new QB to go through TC etc..
rebusrankin Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 Wait, you guys didn't like Raymond Philiaw? Floyd 1
Goalie Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 The end of Hall? Marve won't take the PR? A new QB at this time of the year is pretty weird. You'd think they'd want a new QB to go through TC etc.. I'd lean towards the end of Hall.
Mr. Perfect Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 The end of Hall? Marve won't take the PR? A new QB at this time of the year is pretty weird. You'd think they'd want a new QB to go through TC etc.. If he's on the practice roster (and Browning will be of course) it pretty much is training camp for him. He learns the playbook at his own pace and gets minimal reps as a new QB would regardless of timing.

You'd think they'd want a new QB to go through TC etc.. So you think the Bombers keep 5 QBs? Not a chance. Hall is gone. New guy goes on the PR and learns all season. It's like a year long TC for him.
M.O.A.B. Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 The end of Hall? Marve won't take the PR? A new QB at this time of the year is pretty weird. You'd think they'd want a new QB to go through TC etc.. That's how I read it. Marve wont take a PR so the staff have no choice but to promote him at 3rd string. Both Hall and Brohm probably wont take a PR too so the decision comes down to who stays between Brohm and Hall. And judging by their pre-season performance, it's not a hard decision to make.
gbill2004 Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 http://boards.dallascowboys.com/topic/34185-cowboys-sign-qb-kolton-browning/ Recently signed Cowboys QB Kolton Browning was the only left-hander of the four quarterbacks at the 3rd Annual National Football League Players Association Collegiate Bowl at StubHub! Center in Carson, California. Browning knows how to set up and turn his body as to adjust to receivers who are used to having passes thrown to them by right-handed quarterbacks. Kolton received a call from Dallas Cowboys? quarterback coach Wade Wilson following the National Football League draft and he was asked to come in as an undrafted free agent. Wade Wilson, the quarterback coach, contacted me, and he said he really liked my film, and wanted to bring me in and try me out, Browning said. He said we will do two practices on Friday, two on Saturday and one on Sunday, and we will go from there. Browning said late on day three of the draft, New York Jets quarterback coach David Lee called him to see how he was doing. I actually had a call from the New York Jets in the sixth round from their quarterback?s coach, and he said we have a few picks left,? Browning said. ?He was checking my nerves, and saying that he would have loved to have me in the quarterback room, but they never called back.? Jimmy Cantrell, who was Browning's high school coach at Mabank, said he was disappointed when Browning's name was not called on Sunday. I thought he should have went at some point in time in the draft. I thought it would have been late sixth or early seventh round,? Cantrell said. ?He has been dealing with tough situations ever since he was in high school. I think he will turn some heads there if he gets a shot.? Cantrell said Browning knows the best situations to put his teammates in when he is on the field. He is a student of the game, and in my 30 years of coaching, I have never seen a quarterback be able to read secondarys as well as he does,? Cantrell said. ?I can remember several games where he would utilize six-to-eight different receivers.?
Goalie Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 Why do people think Marve wont accept a PR spot? Marve looked better than Max Hall and Brian Brohm. This isn't about Marve vs Hall vs Brohm, this is about Hall and Hall only. He was the worst qb by far. He DONE. Almost seems like some are just refusing to accept how piss poorly Max Hall played, If this was based purely on pre-season and training camp, Hall was turrrible and should be sent packing. HE ABSOLUTELY SUCKED. I'd be absolutely shocked and somewhat disheartened if Max Hall made the team after the way he played in camp and in the games. Guy isn't some fresh faced rookie to the CFL, he was here last year, he sucked then and he sucks now.
