Mike Posted June 21, 2014 Report Posted June 21, 2014 http://cflfantasy.ts...ew_group=979677 Password is "milton" Originally, we were going to run a similar contest on the forum. Same general concept, no salary cap (because what individual has time to be setting values for players, etc) but now that TSN has created essentially the same thing, it seems like a mutually beneficial decision for everyone if we use their platform. You guys get real time updates instead of waiting for us to update it, we get more free time and the salary cap feature makes it a little more difficult for all of us. It's easy to register. Just follow the link, join our group and you're in. You can pick your week 1 team immediately or wait until later in the week if you choose. Make sure to play every week, because the winner of our group at the end of the year will win a $50 Bomber Store gift card. For those who want to know the rules before clicking on the link: Pick a QB, RB, 2 REC, a flex (RB/REC), K and a defense. Fit them under the $100,000 salary cap (each player has a value listed) and confirm your team. You will receive points based on their weekly performance and you can pick a new team each week. Good luck! Blue-urns and road griller 2
peterm Posted June 21, 2014 Report Posted June 21, 2014 Awesome! I joined the group as peterm. On a side note, I'm looking for Bomber fans to join my Fantasy CFL league. It's a season long league (similar to the NFL). If you're interested in joining, download the app here (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/fantasy-canadian-football/id879488461?ls=1&mt=8) or learn more about it here (http://fantasycanadianfootball.com). Then join my private league by entering league ID 6797. I'd really like to fill it with Bomber fans. It would be awesome to play in a league with all of you.
roddy315 Posted June 21, 2014 Report Posted June 21, 2014 I joined under bleedbluengold. Played NFL fantasy but never CFL so I'm kinda pumped!! LOL. So when you pick your line-up for the League those picks are used for general contest right??
Atomic Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 I like the salary managed system. Really makes you think hard about where you want to spend.
SPuDS Posted June 23, 2014 Report Posted June 23, 2014 No national requirement? I wondered that too.. Im assuming salary management is complicated enough as is..
voodoochylde Posted June 23, 2014 Report Posted June 23, 2014 I'm in as well .. this looks like it's going to be a much better format than Fantaseh .. absolutely hated that website and product.
MOBomberFan Posted June 23, 2014 Report Posted June 23, 2014 I'm in. I have to agree, much better site and style than Fantaseh last year.
17to85 Posted June 23, 2014 Report Posted June 23, 2014 I like the salary managed system. Really makes you think hard about where you want to spend. makes it tough in week one though, lots of positions on other teams that I'm just not sure about for cheaper options.
tacklewasher Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 Dislike them asking for my address, but they seemed to accept crap for it so I'm in.
MOBomberFan Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 I like being able to view the consensus picks to see how way out of left field my lineup is.
bearpants Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 I've managed fairly well in NFL fantasy football.... in 8 years I've won twice and runner up twice... but this is my first crack at CFL fantasy... something I've wanted to do for a long time!
17to85 Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 I like being able to view the consensus picks to see how way out of left field my lineup is. too many rider homers online to get real consensus picks anyway, rider homers will pick their rider players skewing the results. Harbaugh 1
Atomic Posted June 25, 2014 Report Posted June 25, 2014 Anyone actually spend all their money? I did... how could you not??? I had a hell of a time getting under the cap
Mike Posted June 25, 2014 Author Report Posted June 25, 2014 Anyone actually spend all their money? I did... how could you not??? I had a hell of a time getting under the cap Until I fiddled around with a few things, I had about 30k left over.
Harbaugh Posted June 25, 2014 Report Posted June 25, 2014 I'm 15K under the cap. I'm not gonna change some picks over a small amount of cap room, I like the guys I have.
17to85 Posted June 25, 2014 Report Posted June 25, 2014 I think I got it exactly at the cap on the first try.... OK so my first try would have had me way way over the cap but hey if it works for the riders why shouldn't I try it?
JuranBoldenRules Posted June 25, 2014 Report Posted June 25, 2014 Only 150k for Ottawa's D on a bye week...couldn't resist that value.
