Philly trades Scott Harnell to CBJ for RJ Umberger.. guess it's a wash, Umberger younger but not very good, pretty much the same salary cap hit but Hartnell has 2 or 3 more years left on his deal compared to Umberger. Bit of a head scratcher though.

 

Markov re-ups in montreal for 3 years. 5.75 aav. That's a big cap hit for a 38 year old.

Late coach Pat Burns has been elected into the Hockey Hall of Fame class of 2014 alongside Dominik Hasek, Peter Forsberg, Mike Modano and Rob Blake and legendary NHL referee Bill McCreary.

 

Gonna say it, It's about damn time Burns got in.
