gbill2004 Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 @BobIrvingCJOB: Bryant turner not expected to play vs RedBlacks. Welcome to CFL kashawn Fraser.
The Unknown Poster Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Whats the hold up? Kid was born, now come back and work. or is this a case of, he didnt practice so he doesnt play?
robynjt Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Whats the hold up? Kid was born, now come back and work. or is this a case of, he didnt practice so he doesnt play?Iirc, he was excused for personal reasons, wife or girlfriend I think? From one of O'Shea's conferences... He had expected him to be back at that time. Hope everything is ok.
Noeller Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 I'm not a fan of this, particularly. Kid was born, get your ass back and work. Unless there was complications, but I thought he was tweeting that everything was fine. Ugh.
Mike Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Probably delivered the child himself. Blindfolded. Logan007, Yourface, Jacquie and 2 others 5
M.O.A.B. Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Family comes first and I think O'shea has no problem with this. Remember when Maher's wife gave birth the day before the 2nd preseason game. He should have let Maher gone home if Maher just told him. Anderson starting should not be a big drop off. My only worries is how many penalties does Anderson and Frazer will get.

Noeller Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 that's what I thought...if it's just a matter of taking extra time off. Ehhhhh...dunno about that. Hopefully it's a case of "Just one guy, just one game...not a big deal..."
mbrg Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Probably delivered the child himself. Blindfolded. Shotgun snap. johnzo 1
The Unknown Poster Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Yes exactly. Family comes first. but if he's just learning to fold diapers, come back and play!
M.O.A.B. Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Wow! There's a lot of Troy Westwood disciples here. Btw, I heard he's having a coffee with Banks somewhere down there in Alabama.
B-F-F-C Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 All this coming from guys who have yet to become fathers. Sure the timing sucks but these things don't always happen when you want them to. But if you've gone thru the whole birthing process you'd know it's not like in the old days when women would squat in the field and then go back to work. Maybe she had a caesarian section which makes it difficult for the mom to be the primary caregiver until she's had a chance to recover. So get off your high horses and let him deal with this very personal matter in the way he needs to. comedygeek, Logan007, Mark F and 8 others 11
mbrg Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Wow! There's a lot of Troy Westwood disciples here. Didn't really think it was worth arguing over, but jeez, seriously? Ya, he can go home and be there for the birth of his child when we have a bye week! Yargh yargh yargh! Take your sweet time and enjoy the birth of your child Bryant. Can't compete for free agents on climate. Can't compete for free agents on money. Can't compete for free agents on winning. Thought we could at least sell "great fans", but it turns out they're becoming a bunch of aholes. Mike, Blue-urns and SPuDS 3
gbill2004 Posted July 2, 2014 Author Report Posted July 2, 2014 Maybe its taking him so long because he's jogging back to Winnipeg from Alabama.
kelownabomberfan Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Maybe its taking him so long because he's jogging back to Winnipeg from Alabama. Is that a Forrest Gump reference?
Mike Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 On the bright side, it's nice of Bryant Turner to be contributing depth to our franchise. I'm sure his newborn will be lining up in the trenches within weeks. Those Turner genetics ... B-F-F-C and Blue-urns 2
gbill2004 Posted July 2, 2014 Author Report Posted July 2, 2014 Maybe its taking him so long because he's jogging back to Winnipeg from Alabama. Is that a Forrest Gump reference? No, its a Bryant Turner is larger than life reference.
kelownabomberfan Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 No, its a Bryant Turner is larger than life reference. Oh ok - well Bryant Turner doesn't jog, he just leaps 100 miles at a time.

Yep my bad. If Bryant Turner was running back from Alabama he would have left tomorrow and arrived yesterday.
DR. CFL Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 It's not as if he lit it up in the first game?
Jpan85 Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Take as much time as he needs. Family always comes first. Tracker 1
M.O.A.B. Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming 37s Bryant Turner has been away for a few days for the birth of his daughter. Mike O'Shea is very comfortable with Turner's time away. #Bombers SPuDS 1
Goalie Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 who wouldn't skip work to be there for the birth of their daughter, seriously, non issue. If this turns in to another Andrew Ladd thing with Westwood, and i think it might...man, come on. Family is way more important.
Jpan85 Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 Add to the fact that he won't be back till the next bye week.
