Milt Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 I think Walters has been a much better AGM than ST co-ordinator. I actually have been impressed. Especially given the quality of talent surrounding him, or lack thereof. based on what?
kelownabomberfan Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 He reported it, he didn't leak it to the media. You can;t blame the media for something some idiot told them. You can;t trust the media. So either we are dealing with a trusting fool on the board, or a cancer. sorry but I am biased due to my dislike of Lawless. Formula: gain trust of director, wean info from said director, report it, then sit back with smug smile watching nuclear bomb go off, stand at bomb crater press conference with even smugger smile on face saying "Look what I have done". Just makes me want to puke.
kelownabomberfan Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 based on what? I've really liked his draft picks. For once we've been going into drafts with a plan, instead of just a dart board.
Atomic Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 The team should not allow Lawless to conduct interviews until he gives up the name of the rat. I think Miller is going to come in with some good will built up. Last thing he needs is to start a war with the media.
Bomber_fanaddict Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 Don't let the guy eat until he fesses up. We'd know the source in 10 mins. You figure he would last that long?
basslicker Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 but he still knows who leaked it. And wants to know how the team is going to figure it out. That's asshatery 101 I don't disagree, I just think we have an issue on the BOD.
kelownabomberfan Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 You figure he would last that long? only if he had palmed a burrito and stuffed in his mouth right before being locked up.
basslicker Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 Oh well, at least my Murphy and my wife's House jerseys came in the mail yesterday. It softens the blow....just like they hoped it would I guess.
holoman Posted August 9, 2013 Author Report Posted August 9, 2013 The constant bad hirings are the reason we're here not the impatience IMO. Constant losing & big talk & no action fuel the impatience. And the fact if we can bring in an inexperienced coach or manager to save a buck, (which we'll probably do again) we'll do that as well. It all comes into play. That is how this team rolls. Doug Berry had a bad year the year after the Grey cup and yet finished 8-10. Deserved another year to right the ship. Club gave in to pressure to have him fired which led to the Mike Kelly Era.
Bomber Diehard Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 A great move by the Bombers this morning, Wade has been very successful and knows football(CFL) as good as anyone. Wade will not put up with Any Chit from no one and again a great move by the big blue. Noeller 1
saskbluefan Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 I've really liked his draft picks. For once we've been going into drafts with a plan, instead of just a dart board. We literally have not had one draft pick since Walters became AGM play one single game for us. If you are referring to the time he was supposedly draft coordinator while Mack was GM what pick do you like? Henoc Muamba? And what else? Jade Etienne? Maybe. Greaves I guess. Or are we counting Swyston and Stephan and guys like that as hits?
rebusrankin Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 If we count from 2010 on when Walters got here: Henoc, Watson, Etienne, Swiston, Thomas, Greaves and the free agent signings of Palardy and Kolhert. Not a bad resume.

Dirty30 Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 Woodson is not being used properly. They should being using him like the Argos use Durie (I am by no means stating he is as good as Durie before some of you go off on me).
Bomber Diehard Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 Wade will have his hands full especially with the upcoming Ottawa into the league. i can see him reviewing with Tim about Crowton at year end.
Mike Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 Wade will have his hands full especially with the upcoming Ottawa into the league. i can see him reviewing with Tim about Crowton at year end. He should get rid of Burke before anyone. blitzmore 1
saskbluefan Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 Also, Poblah, Volny, and Woodson Poblah is moving towards being a bust. Woodson and Volny? Seriously. You know all the teams dress 42 players right? Just because they are on the team doesn't make them good picks. We don't have any idea how much Kyle had to do with Kolhert and Palardy signings. Considering coaching special teams is probably fairly time consuming probably not a lot. Swyston and Thomas are back-ups. Fine. I forgot about Watson. That was a good pick, obviously.
17to85 Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 Woodson is not being used properly. They should being using him like the Argos use Durie (I am by no means stating he is as good as Durie before some of you go off on me). well the problem is that Woodson can't ever stay healthy

You know that most Canadian players are special teamers and backups right? They can't all be starters and all stars.
Fred C Dobbs Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 Miller and Burke should work well together: both straight shooters who don't take any nonsense.
17to85 Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 He should get rid of Burke before anyone. Just focus on getting the right GM and tell them they're free to bring in whoever they want at HC and that will take care of itself. OldSchoolBlue 1
Mark H. Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 He should get rid of Burke before anyone. Can Burke if wants to start Buck again, period. rebusrankin 1
Jimmy Pop Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 He should get rid of Burke before anyone. Yep. The Burke/Buck combo need to be shown the door as well. But, i figure with the comments around the east being weak and the playoff opportunity, we're likely to see ol Bucky Boy back behind centre at some point. Greeeeeeaaaaat.
Mr Dee Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 Miller....a passionate football guy, who love the Bombers. How can that be wrong? 1st step in the right direction....it's a start. TheGhostOfJoeMack 1
