voodoochylde Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 Exactly. While we don't have a bonafide QB... our O line should be targetted for improvement. If the O line can give guys like Goltz more time, he's only going to excel. Goltz has the tools so lets develop him. I know this won't appease the those of us who want a Grey Cup right away but the revolving door at QB has to stop. Couldn't agree more. There is no sense in trading for a 'franchise quarterback' or a 'quaterback of the future' if you aren't going to be able to protect him and put that player in the best possible position to succeed. Offense starts and ends on the line. Without protection, a quarterback can't throw the ball. Without being able to open running lanes a running back is going nowhere and won't be able to take pressure off a young, developing quarterback. The key for future success (offensively) is to rebuild the offensive line. Piggy 1 and Mark H. 2
iso_55 Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 He's injured and will be out for at least 2-3 more weeks and that's if this treatment works. He can't throw TD passes from the IR. If the treatment doesn't work Tate may need surgery.
DR. CFL Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 People need to do their homework on Tate. He had an injury history in Sask and going back to college. He will likely be someone they would love to trade knowing that they won't protect him anyway.
iso_55 Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 Then why was he dressed last night? You gotta ask Huff about that. He's been told "to do nothing".
DR. CFL Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 He dressed as they didn't want to take a cap hit on adding another guy. The rules say u have to dress 3. If Glenn an Mitchell went down Sinopoli would have gone to QB.

The Unknown Poster Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 Not worth it. Buck is healthy. I'd rather go with him. The bigger issue is the OC.
rebusrankin Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 Buck hasn't been healthy in years. iso_55 and Logan007 2
iso_55 Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 Buck's ship has hopefully sailed. Personally as a fan, I don't want to see him play here again, ever. He may be our most experienced qb but it has to be over. Look at all the blood letting that went on yesterday, 90% of that over what Buck Pierce brought to this team... To bring him back now after all this would be incredibly insane. We can't win with him.
The Unknown Poster Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 If buck played and won every game some of you would still want him gone. I don't care who the QB is as long as he plays well. Buck has talent. I want to give him a chance to come back. I remember when all you experts thought Glenn was terrible too
DR. CFL Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 Perhaps the system is flawed ? Not always the QB. HC85 1
The Unknown Poster Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 I agree. System needs to change first. Better o line. Or else we ain't developing ****.
Captain Blue Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 Buck is awful. Can we please not put this to argument to bed already?
Mr Dee Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 If buck played and won every game some of you would still want him gone. Say what?
iso_55 Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 If buck played and won every game some of you would still want him gone. So, you actually think that would happen? This team has to move on from Pierce. i think they should have cut Pierce to stop the temptation to go back to him & all the crap that goes with that decision comes back.
Mike Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 I don't think The Unknown Poster is unknown anymore. It's Buck's mom. Captain Blue and rebusrankin 2
Jacquie Posted August 11, 2013 Report Posted August 11, 2013 Because like us the Stamps only have 3 QBs on their roster and iirc you have to dress 3 QBs. Hufnagel was quoted as saying Tate would be out for 2-3 weeks the day before the game.
TrueBlue Posted August 11, 2013 Report Posted August 11, 2013 So no one wants to try to salvage this season then? Tate has what Five TD passes this year with only a few games played. That's more then all of our guys have done all year. I'd rather risk it this year with Tate then with Buck As much as I like Tate's ability when he is healthy, it's looking a lot like he is just a younger version of Buck. If we are to 'salvage the season' as you say, it wouldn't be with Tate. And of he were here and healthy for next season we likely would be in the same boat with him as we were with Pierce in 2010 and 2012 and spinning our wheels once again. Also, no way Calgary would want Jovon or Buck.
Logan007 Posted August 11, 2013 Report Posted August 11, 2013 Say what? Shhh, don't wake him up. He's sleeping.
Brandon Posted August 11, 2013 Author Report Posted August 11, 2013 I'm basically suggesting to have Tate take Bucks spot on the roster. We keep Goltz playing and if he stinks the joint up I'd way rather have Tate go in then Buck. They are equally injury proned however Tate has looked fantastic when he does play while Buck has been the worst qb in the league. I'm not saying put all eggs on Tate, suggesting we bring him in to get some wins this year and maybe in the future he can be our Kevin Glenn.

Jacquie Posted August 11, 2013 Report Posted August 11, 2013 Wrong Sinopoli is the 4th qb. He's listed on the roster as a receiver and has been playing as a receiver. There was one game this season when they had to pull him as a receiver to stand on the sidelines as a back-up but that was after injuries to other QBs meant they had no back-up. comedygeek 1
James Posted August 11, 2013 Report Posted August 11, 2013 Bucks done, Even when he's healthy he sucks... it really is that simple
