17to85 Posted September 23, 2013 Report Posted September 23, 2013 this assumes anyone wants to give your anything worth a damn for an upcoming free agent who is pretty publically looking to get paid. Story is that the Bombers have offered him huge money already but he's still set on testing the market. Remember his agent is an epic level douchebag.
The Unknown Poster Posted September 23, 2013 Report Posted September 23, 2013 Henoc for Collaros. Do it.
17to85 Posted September 23, 2013 Report Posted September 23, 2013 Henoc for Collaros. Do it. ehh I'd rather just start tampering and let Collaros know that he doesn't have to sign anywhere for next year until he's heard the Bombers out. blitzmore 1
DR. CFL Posted September 23, 2013 Report Posted September 23, 2013 You can't pay Muamba what his agent is telling him the NFL will pay. He isn't signing sports fans. We the f would he? And why would anybody trade a box of tape for a guy who they won't be able to sign?
17to85 Posted September 23, 2013 Report Posted September 23, 2013 as good as muamba is I just don't see him having the kind of trade value that makes it worth shipping him out. Ship him out and you have no chance of getting him back as a FA, at least there's still the chance now that you can re-sign him just because I think the Bomber would be willing to pay more than any other CFL team.
DR. CFL Posted September 23, 2013 Report Posted September 23, 2013 And all you armchair GMshow much should u pay him? TerriP 1
TrueBlue Posted September 23, 2013 Report Posted September 23, 2013 I respect that he wants to wait. Significant changes with contracts and salary cap could be coming, so it makes sense to see what happens before putting pen to paper. Hopefully it doesn't end up being a bad decision on his part. Either way, I expect us to be in the bidding come time when the market determines his value.
DR. CFL Posted September 23, 2013 Report Posted September 23, 2013 Heads up he becomes a FA in Feb. the CBA doesn't expire until the first day of TC.
Blueandgold Posted September 23, 2013 Report Posted September 23, 2013 Its the truth, if Henoc leaves, Cauchy gets cut and likely not picked up by anybody. I would keep Cauchy as a backup assuming he takes a pay cut.
Mr Dee Posted September 23, 2013 Report Posted September 23, 2013 I would keep Cauchy as a backup assuming he takes a pay cut. I wouldn't oppose that. And they could deliver his pay with receivers through different routes, in different zones, so that he gets the importance of reading the flow of where the action is. johnzo and EP77 2
17to85 Posted September 23, 2013 Report Posted September 23, 2013 Its the truth, if Henoc leaves, Cauchy gets cut and likely not picked up by anybody. guys with that much experience and some physical skills get cut and not picked up when there's a new team coming in and suddenly the marginal NIs have so much increased value just based on the increase in new jobs? No I don't think so. SPuDS 1
pigseye Posted September 23, 2013 Report Posted September 23, 2013 That money is better spent elsewhere on the team.

No I don't think so. yup. either as a starter or as an ST/backup.. he's nowhere near as piss poor as, people are making him out to be..
DR. CFL Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 The sad part is piss poor is a relative term. As the talent pool gets diluted in Ottawa so the value of piss poor increases.
pigseye Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 The draft just becomes that much more relative in building your NI tree. Taking the best athlete approach is pointless unless he fits a position of need.
Mark H. Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 Heads up he becomes a FA in Feb. the CBA doesn't expire until the first day of TC. Yes, but a new deal will be negotiated during the off-season. The details will be out even if it isn't in effect.
DR. CFL Posted September 25, 2013 Report Posted September 25, 2013 What makes you think that. Check the history on just how slow this process has been in the past.
Mark H. Posted September 25, 2013 Report Posted September 25, 2013 What makes you think that. Check the history on just how slow this process has been in the past. Well they have to have it done at least before the season starts.

If players like Max Hall and Cauchy Muamba were half as decent as you make them out to be our team would be 10-2 instead of 2-10. I'm in favor of Cauchy staying on as a backup, but he has no business being a regular starter.

Well they have to have it done at least before the season starts. They haven't in the past. The PA doesn't have a whole ton of leverage because there is no shortage of football players and they are hardly a unified group. They will play under the terms of the current deal until they get a new one. DR. CFL 1
