Fatty Liver Posted July 28, 2014 Report Posted July 28, 2014 I'm very very happy that we beat up on that non leader nothing is ever my fault Kevin Glenn. Absolutely love it! Hate KG, what a pansy. You hit the guy early and he turtles all game. Give your head a shake man, yer playing too many video games. Nobody that plays professional football is a "pansy". Would you like to be steam rolled by a 300 lb. lineman? Doubt it. johnzo and DR. CFL 2
iso_55 Posted July 29, 2014 Report Posted July 29, 2014 Hindsight is 20/20, but Walters deserves CFL executive of the year for not trading for this broken down, 2008 version of Mr. Glenn ... Foresight can also be 20/20. Building up a team for the future isn't easy to do if you trade away picks and don't give your young QB's chances to compete and learn. Glenn is Glenn. He'll have some good games and some bad ones. They will average out...to average. It would have been a great decision to have him on our bench if we didn't have to give up anything higher than a 4th rounder to do it, not because Glenn is broken down, but because we need to build up our NI talent in the worst way possible. Can't get something for nothing most days, even Brohm cost something. As it turns out, he might be good enough to fill in and pull out wins. The Bombers will find out how much they could have used Glenn when and if Willy goes down for multiple games. If Brohm or Marve can step in and win games than obviously there was no need for his services. One thing is for certain to become a top level team consistently in the CFL the backup QB has to be capable of providing 3-4 wins per season when called upon. Only BC, Cgy and maybe EE with Nichols are currently secure in the QB position. Funny but the RR may have the greatest drop off in the QB position in all the league, sure hope nothing happens to Durant! Rider fans couldn't wait to get Willy out of town as they were creaming their jeans for Tito Sunseri as The Next One. Careful what you wish for Priders.

You hit the guy early and he turtles all game. <--- that seems to be the case.

Atomic Posted July 29, 2014 Report Posted July 29, 2014 Put any QB behind that crap OL in BC and see how they do. Their OL is truly awful. Worst in the league right now. What are the changes on oline from last year? They lost their starting left tackle, Ben Archibald, to retirement, and are really struggling to replace him. I believe they have started 4 different guys there so far, and the latest is a Canadian rookie named Hunter Steward, who has actually looked okay considering the circumstances. They lost Patrick Kabongo, who also retired. Ottawa took their 6th OL, Matt Albright, who is now starting for the RedBlacks. BC acquired Steve Myddelton last season from Calgary but he bolted to Hamilton in free agency. Dean Valli is way past his best-before date and Matt Norman is a decent player but still young and going through some struggles. But this is nothing new. Lions fans have been complaining about their OL for years. Offensive line troubles are definitely not confined to Winnipeg.

Valli looking around confused to see what happened behind him is how the timer in BC knows when the play is over (he even does it on the sidelines when the defense is on the field). His name is easy to remember and easy to spell. That is the main reason some people still consider him good.
