Rich Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 Pre-season game between the Colts and the Jets last night. Muamba's stat line was 9 tackles (2 assisted) and 1 forced fumble.
Rich Posted August 8, 2014 Author Report Posted August 8, 2014 Article on the game: http://inkonindy.com/2014/08/07/final-indianapolis-colts-fall-new-york-jets-13-10/ Linebacker Henoc Muamba was a stud on defense. He led the team with 12 tackles and a forced fumble.
The Unknown Poster Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 So when is he coming back to the CFL?
RagingIce Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 Not good for us, but great for Henoc. That will probably earn him decent playing time for the rest of the preseason.
Mr. Perfect Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 Something to keep in mind going forward - Indy was down three inside linebackers during the game so Henoc got a lot of playing time. It will be interesting to see how he fairs when they get those bodies back, assuming they aren't long term injuries.
Mark F Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 The other day, looking at Packers and some other team website, I noticed that NFL linebackers are huge, 250 pounds and up. Don't know if that's changing or not in the NFL. Don't know if Henoc fits their idea of a linebacker. a lot of American NFL coaches don't like to be doing anything new. good luck to him, hope he makes it.
FrostyWinnipeg Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 So when is he coming back to the CFL? Right after Israel Idonije.
mbrg Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 So when is he coming back to the CFL? Right after Israel Idonije. Muamba is the kind of player who can earn a job on special teams if he shows enough good things in practise and preseason. And he's also the kind of player the team will deem expendable when they need a roster spot for a draft pick or signing they really like. He's in a position where if he plays well he can land a job and later lose it despite having no drop in his level of play.

I believe I saw on the Colts website that he beefed up to around 245 lbs...

Blueandgold Posted August 10, 2014 Report Posted August 10, 2014 He won't be back in the CFL for a few years at least I'd wager. As much as I'd love to have him here, its almost just as good to see him do good down in the NFL.
Tracker Posted August 10, 2014 Report Posted August 10, 2014 Scary that you can weigh 243 lbs and still have O-linemen coming at you that outweigh you by 100 lbs
kelownabomberfan Posted August 11, 2014 Report Posted August 11, 2014 Think the Colts will sign Cauchy as an incentive to keep Henoc in the NFL? bearpants and Mr Dee 2
bearpants Posted August 11, 2014 Report Posted August 11, 2014 Think the Colts will sign Cauchy as an incentive to keep Henoc in the NFL? Hahaha yep any day now.... there's no chance a potential 7-figure salary will mean much without his bro
LeBird Posted August 11, 2014 Report Posted August 11, 2014 Think the Colts will sign Cauchy as an incentive to keep Henoc in the NFL? Did the Colts hire Joe Mack. Must have missed that.
