gbill2004 Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 @ZachAnderson44: Huge announcement for you #bomber fans coming soon! Just got to wait on the Offical word.
braddman19 Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 Now, I don't know a thing about this fellow. Anyone care to give a quick Chad Anderson for dummies course?
gbill2004 Posted August 16, 2014 Author Report Posted August 16, 2014 Now, I don't know a thing about this fellow. Anyone care to give a quick Chad Anderson for dummies course? American offensive lineman. Zach Anderson's brother.
SPuDS Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 Huh. Sweet! If he plays with the fire and intensity of his brother, could be a gamer..
do or die Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 If he is a notch above a fence post......he is in like Flynn... SPuDS and KptKrunch 2
SPuDS Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 Automatic pencil in at RT? As long as its not an automatic pencer in.. Mark F and ALuCsRED 2
SPuDS Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 If he is a notch above a fence post......he is in like Flynn... I concur. IF this is legit then i have a hard time imagining that he doesnt get a sure shot at stealing a job..
17to85 Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 If he's a guard why not leave him at guard? Let Neufeld play tackle and shore up the inside.
SPuDS Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 He was trying out at guard but played predominantly at right tackle in college... From what the tidbit on him explained anyway.. I assume his interior play wasn't as good as his tackle (but again, who knows... This is still a "rumour" technically)
gbill2004 Posted August 16, 2014 Author Report Posted August 16, 2014 @ZachAnderson44: Offical! Welcome to #Winnipeg @AndersoNx71 SPuDS, blitzmore and BattleLevel 3
pigseye Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 If he is a notch above a fence post......he is in like Flynn... I'd prefer Flint but Flynn is probably an upgrade too
SPuDS Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 Do we expect to hear the "official" signing during the interview today? Also, do we recall ever having brothers playing on the opposite sides of the ball (and line) before? I remember the ball bros in the secondary and the boyko bros on the special teams...
blitzmore Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 The Colts announced on their website that they have signed offensive lineman Chad Anderson. To make room for the guard, the Colts waived undrafted rookie defensive endGannon Conway. Anderson, a 6’3″, 321 pound lineman, comes to Indianapolis by way of the LA Kiss of the Arena Football League. Anderson started 32-of-35 career collegiate games and was a three-time letterman at Northern Michigan. He made 32 consecutive starts over his final three seasons, including the last 21 at the right tackle position. As a senior in 2013, he blocked for an offense that averaged 352.8 total yards per game, including 231.7 yards passing and 121.1 yards rushing. Conway, signed in June after being waived by the Dolphins, was a UDFA out of Arizona State. In 30 career games (14 starts) for the Sun Devils, he recorded 51 tackles (33 solo), nine tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and two passes defensed.
Mike Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 Played guard in NFL but he's most experienced at tackle. I know they had their eye on him for a while, this wasn't a favor to Zach. He originally went to the AFL because the ability to move to the NFL is easier.
gbill2004 Posted August 16, 2014 Author Report Posted August 16, 2014 So then, he's a Colt? He's a Bomber. Colts cut him last week.
Bomber_fanaddict Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 This better not be a ploy just to sign zack long term
Jacquie Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 I'm looking forward to seeing him in blue & gold.
BattleLevel Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 This better not be a ploy just to sign zack long term I don't think the Bombers would ever do something like that.... rebusrankin 1
