Mr. Perfect Posted August 17, 2014 Report Posted August 17, 2014 Drew Edwards @scratchingpost 53m #Ticats QB Dan LeFevour has a suspected ACL tear in his left knee and will likely miss the rest of the season. #CFL It will be great watching a team hosting a home playoff game this year with 5 wins.
Tracker Posted August 17, 2014 Report Posted August 17, 2014 That ought to give Kent Austin insomnia.
Goalie Posted August 17, 2014 Report Posted August 17, 2014 Masoli ain't terrible and Collaros should be back soon... But still, Starting to think going to one division would be the best.
rebusrankin Posted August 17, 2014 Report Posted August 17, 2014 Bad news for them. Yep, pretty sad that the second place team in the East may win 5 games and the 5th place team in the west wins at least 6.
iso_55 Posted August 17, 2014 Report Posted August 17, 2014 That ought to give Kent Austin insomnia. The old saying, "Careful what you wish for" certainly is true for Kent Austin. If he still had Burris he'd be running away with the East Division. Not only can Hank still play but he never gets hurt. Yeah, we know that Frank shows up every once in awhile & makes a bonehead throw or decision but still Burris would have been better than anything the Ti Cats have now even with a healthy Collaros. This season just blew up for Austin. Massoli??? LOL! blitzmore, Mr Dee and Blue-urns 3
johnzo Posted August 17, 2014 Report Posted August 17, 2014 Never good news for the league when a promising young QB goes down with a serious injury like this. Best of luck to LeFevour for a speedy recovery. DR. CFL and KptKrunch 2
IC Khari Posted August 17, 2014 Report Posted August 17, 2014 Well at least they have their new high school stadium to look forward to FrostyWinnipeg 1

iso_55 Posted August 17, 2014 Report Posted August 17, 2014 I can't see Reilly having a long career the way he takes off. He's going to get injured.
The Unknown Poster Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 Too bad. I had the fever for the flavour of leFevour. Not really.
SPuDS Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 Too bad. I had the fever for the flavour of leFevour. Not really. Was that actually a hot action cop reference on a football board? *walks away shaking head sadly*
TBieber Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 Masoli ain't terrible and Collaros should be back soon... But still, Starting to think going to one division would be the best. Yes he is.
Captain Blue Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 Hamilton is in deep trouble. Scrap the divisions, this is hogwash.
Blueandgold Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 Even if one of the Western teams loses every game for the rest of the season, they'll still likely have as many wins as the second place team in the East.
DR. CFL Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 It was Miller's decision to switch to the west so go figure
iso_55 Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 Masoli ain't terrible and Collaros should be back soon... But still, Starting to think going to one division would be the best. Yes he is. Massoli is NOT good. Matt Nicholls is in Edmonton. Drew Tate in Calgary. Both aren't playing. Trade perhaps?
Brandon Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 Why would Calgary or Edmonton make that trade? I don't see them trading for new qb blood... the only guy they may get would be Brohm purely because of familiarity with the system. Maybe Jyles gets a phone call again? iso_55 1

Yeah, threw the word trade out there just to see what people thought. I think that a trade like that is made in the off season not during. If BLM ever went down & Drew Tate had been traded to Hamilton before it happened then the Stamps would be hooped as rookie Brian Moniz would be the starter. He didn't look that impressive at training camp with the few reps in the 2 exhibition games he did get. I'm actually surprised he's still with Calgary. Tate's the insurance policy.
mfranc Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 This is unfortunate. Saturday Night Lefevour actually looked like he may develop into a decent quarterback.
DR. CFL Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 Another cruel reminder that you really can never have enough experienced depth at the QB position.
Tracker Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 And suddenly Brian Brohm has to have a lot more market value in Hamilton. Should Walters want to trade him, he should be able to ask almost whatever he wants from Austin.
Zontar Posted August 20, 2014 Report Posted August 20, 2014 Why would Ausitn want Brohm back when he chose Steve McGee (as of today HAM's second string QB) over him ?
Tracker Posted August 20, 2014 Report Posted August 20, 2014 Why would Ausitn want Brohm back when he chose Steve McGee (as of today HAM's second string QB) over him ? CFL experience- Austin's quarterback inventory is pretty low at the moment and Collaros didn't look that great when he was vertical.

Should Walters want to trade him, he should be able to ask almost whatever he wants from Austin. I was joking about trading Brohm... His value is pretty much nil. Joey Elliott has a better chance... iso_55 1
