Bigblue204 Posted August 28, 2014 Report Posted August 28, 2014 FWIW- on today's H&L radio show, Lawless said he had information that Sask had dropped out of the bidding on Dressler. Apparently Taman topped out at a bit over $150,000 and is resigned to see Dressler go elsewhere. LOL Lawless = clueless clown mr. obvious over here... Captain Obvious? no captains on this boat!!!
Jacquie Posted August 28, 2014 Report Posted August 28, 2014 Lawless says he didn't backpedal on info about Dressler - he says things change during negotiations.
TBieber Posted August 29, 2014 Report Posted August 29, 2014 OT Edawn Coughman (formerly with the Argos) released by the Bills. Good for him for lasting as long as he did. He's awful. Picked up by the Bucs and was cut again today. Next stop AFL

Blueandgold Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Looks like Inman is going to stick around in San Diego.

TBieber Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Looks like Inman is going to stick around in San Diego. Was probably going to make it at a ST guy anyways, but after they cut Vincent Brown, a chance he will see more offensive reps now.
Blueandgold Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Henoc Muamba has made the Colts roster. To the surprise of no one. Good for him and congratulations Henoc. Noeller 1
Mr Dee Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Only wish him the best but also wish O'Shea would have had a glimpse of a real MLB.

Dirty30 Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 Is anyone else worried that one of the other cfl teams (most likely Ottawa) are going to scoop up Matthews? I can't help but think the Bombers are going to lose out on signing him. He would definitely open things up for Moore and Denmark, but you'd also think that teams would end up so focussed on the passing game that Run would finally be able to get going.
iso_55 Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 All Ottawa does is throw money at free agents. That's all Desjardins seems to be good at as their GM. Just drive up salaries.

Desjardins does seem keen on spending a lot of money to attract a top-notch receiver but playing for a terrible REDBLACKS team won't be attractive. Some players will always take the highest offer so I guess it remains to be seen if Matthews is that kind of guy.

Dirty30 Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 Regardless of what happens today I would love to hear that Matthews is resigned. Romby is done. Matthews could replace Kelly as starter and Kelly could bump to reserve.
blitzmore Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 What I remember is how Matthews played very well the first year he was here. Last year I remember he did not play very well prior to going to the NFL and seemed disinterested at times. If we did sign him which Matthews are we going to get? and do you really want to throw a lot of $$ at someone where you are not sure?

I would suggest that with the **** show going on last season that judging a player based on that is not the best course of action.

Lots of players weren't disinterested and continued to play as well as they could.

Cause I saw a team that at the first sign of adversity would pack it in and just let the other team walk all over them.
