I thought the receivers let Willy down tonight, not only with some drops but when he was pressured or sacked it seemed to be because no one was open.

I nominate Denmark as the Bombers best receiver.  Hopefully Walters can get him extended before he becomes a Free Agent.

What was the final turnover number? Did we win another game after losing the TO battle...

Did you not watch the game? Turnovers were probably 4-2 in favor of the bombers.

Did you? We had at least three turnovers.

I was just thinking I forgot about the turnover on the fake punt

Montreal gave up 3 interceptions, a blocked punt and a turnover on downs on a third down gamble. We gave up 1 interception, a turnover on downs (fake punt) and a fumble. I don't recall any other turnovers but I might have missed one.

good god, that first half was a toddler slap-fight.  And those terrible pigeon-poop uniforms! We couldn't even identify who got straight-armed by Sutton in the 3rd.

For a long time, the best looking thing on the field was J-Crompt's stache.  Crompton looks like he got traded to the Als from 1976.

LOL - good one. As I mentioned in another thread - Crompton is the real deal. He was always the best looking (as in arm) QB here in Edmonton last year. He's from a first rate Division one University, has size, can scramble, he just needs some polishing and he'll be a gooder. Montreal is set now.

As for us - is it me, or is the honeymoon with Drew Willy ending? Willy has not looked all that good last few weeks, including this week. Some very bad overthrows, missing wide open receivers and/or throwing the ball in a bad spot. Hey, don't get me wrong, I'm not jumping off his bandwagon, it's just that he's human afterall. He's same age as Crompton and is definitely ahead of him in the development stage but will be interesting to see where these two are when they are 30 (in their career progression that is).

Three quarters and Crompton is the real deal? Wow. Lets see how he does now that teams have film on him before we start tooting his horn that loudly.

As for Willy - It's as clear as day that the playcalling has been the issue the past few weeks. Yes Willy has made mistakes, that's life as a quarterback, but Marcel DESPERATELY needs to start getting not just creative in his calls, but attacking the weaknesses of the defence. No team has completed as many deep passes as us this season, yet how many times have we tried stretching the field the past three weeks in comparison to the start of the season? Marcel is the big issue here.

If we are going to have a few 2 & outs early in the game I would like to see some bombs thrown on 1st down ... its an investment for later on as said above it will stretch out the D early so some of our planned stuff won't be crowded out

Did you notice how when we actually were able to run the ball he looked better passing? He's not a guy who at this point can do everything with his arm, there's too many other issues going on for him to do everything, but when he's got support he is fine. Bellefeiulle needs to be more creative with the running game, but at least O'Shea finally told Grigsby to run hard and not pussyfoot around with the side ways running or stopping before hits the hole.

Definitely - its' very hard for a QB to get into any kind of a rhythm when the defense is pinning their ears back. That being said - he hasn't looked good the last few weeks, regardless of the (lack of) running game. I'm not saying he's been 'terrible' or anything, he's far better than what we've had since Khari Jones, it just turns out he's not 'superman' afterall

You missed what I said Mr. P - I've been watching him for awhile now. He look a hell of a lot better than Troy Smith - tell me, how many reps as he (Smith) had? I'm not saying he's (Crompton) the next Cavillo but he's a lot better than ANY other Montreal QB right now - and he's barely gotten his feet wet. Yes, long way to go - all I'm saying is he HAS the tools. Or am I not allowed to have an opinion on that?

Crompton looked good but, i guess when you have basically zero film on a guy, he's going too look good, Elliott looked good too, So did Lefevour, others have also. They have quickly faded into obscurity, ok Lefevour looked good a few games but still.... you get the idea. One game doesn't mean much IMO.

Let's see what porn stache does next week.
