voodoochylde Posted August 29, 2014 Report Posted August 29, 2014 @PentonKirk 10m Jason Vega will be a healthy scratch this week, as Kashawn Fraser played well enough to stay in the lineup. #Bombers Not exactly a huge fan of Fraser myself and Vega is a pretty solid, multifaceted lineman .. a guy you can plug in any spot on the front 4 .. not sure how I feel about this one.
Nolby Posted August 29, 2014 Report Posted August 29, 2014 This guy better eat his wheaties sunday morning
JuranBoldenRules Posted August 29, 2014 Report Posted August 29, 2014 Vega isn't healthy and probably won't be for the rest of the season. They are trying to preserve him a bit. He's basically at the if he really needs to play, he can stage.
Jpan85 Posted August 29, 2014 Report Posted August 29, 2014 If it's turf toe he won't heal completely till the offseason
sweep the leg Posted August 29, 2014 Report Posted August 29, 2014 I think Fraser's been pretty good so far.
17to85 Posted August 29, 2014 Report Posted August 29, 2014 Calling Vega a healthy scratch... man oh man has Penton not been paying attention? Vega hasn't been healthy for a long time. What he should say is "Fraser played well enough we don't need to trot out a one legged Vega"
Noeller Posted August 29, 2014 Report Posted August 29, 2014 MOS saw my 6-2 Fantaseh record and said "**** this guy..." and benched Savio. Thanks MOS..... Mr. Perfect 1

iso_55 Posted August 29, 2014 Report Posted August 29, 2014 If it's turf toe he won't heal completely till the offseason Might need surgery. Mike 1
Tracker Posted August 29, 2014 Report Posted August 29, 2014 Well, turf toe doesn't have the same cachet as rug burns on the knees, but what the heck. For the next two games, we need all the push we can against a very good O-line, so if Fraser gives us that, Vega can sell drinks at the Rum Hut. Regardless of who it is, it would be great to have a player the caliber of old #97 white mountain again.
Nasty Nate Posted August 29, 2014 Report Posted August 29, 2014 Vega's injury might explain his lack of production. What about Bryant Turner, though? I think he's one guy who'd prolly fare better in a traditional DT role rather than Etch's "hopscotch" d where he sometimes covers guys out of the backfield and drops into intermediate coverage. NOT HIS FORTE! Guys is a bull-rusher who can also stand off all but the very strongest CFL o-linemen.

rebusrankin Posted August 29, 2014 Report Posted August 29, 2014 Turner is on pace for career highs in tackles and sacks and Nate is questioning him?
Noeller Posted August 29, 2014 Report Posted August 29, 2014 Turner is on pace for career highs in tackles and sacks and Nate is questioning him? In the bizarro world that is Nate, this actually makes sense... rebusrankin 1
iso_55 Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 I don't think Nate was criticizing. Just making an observation...
Noeller Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 I don't think Nate was criticizing. Just making an observation... You must be new here... Mr. Perfect 1
Floyd Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 I still defy anyone to find footage of one of our DL dropping back into coverage this year...
James Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 I've had turf toe. Feels like your toe is broken. really sucks
Blueandgold Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Hope we sign Hall Exactly. We've been playing an injured Vega literally all season but we have no room for Hall? Better yet, I hope we sign Phillip Hunt if he gets cut today.
Fatty Liver Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 See the Chargers just cut Cordarro Law, wonder if he is headed back to the Stamps or if he will be available. Jesse 1
Jesse Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 See the Chargers just cut Cordarro Law, wonder if he is headed back to the Stamps or if he will be available. Now that would be amazing.
mfranc Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 Vega must be banged up a bit as he's typically a pretty solid player.
