Mark F Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 Burleson played for the vikings, Seahawks , and made many millions of dollars. He's got a media career going, was on NFL network quite a bit. It would probably cost him a lot, to play in the CFL. Glad to hear Muamba made the team, and sorry to hear about Matthews. I'm surprised Same didn't make the team. He made a lot of big plays. The guy looked like he could play well enough to be effective in the NFL.
17to85 Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 I wouldn't mind seeing Michael Sam. With the Flames owning the team & a player like Jon Cornish can't see him not being welcomed here. I mean, I think he's a better person than Quincy Butler. What??? Meant to say "there". Typo on my part. Flames own the Stamps & President Brian Burke's son was gay. Burke is now a huge proponent of welcoming gay players into both hockey dressing rooms & football locker rooms. Cornish mother's a lesbian. He was very vocal in his support of Michael Sam coming out just before the NFL Draft. Of all CFL teams THEY (Stamps) would probably be the most welcoming. Hopefully my post makes sense now. It seems kind of sad to me that this discussion is even happening in this day and age
Dr. Blue Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 Maybe Burleson will deliver pizzas... ☺

BigBlue Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 Kirk Penton @PentonKirk The Seattle Seahawks have released former #Bombers receiver Chris Matthews. Do we want him? Do we need him? Yes and yes. Was Matthews one of those with "attitude" problems late last year or was he a True Blue professional?
Dirty30 Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 Stewart, JJ, and Simpson were names I heard.
17to85 Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 was the attitude that the coaches were ridiculous and no one wanted to play for them? Cause that's not a bad attitude, that's just an astute observation. Dirty30 1

Cause that's not a bad attitude, that's just an astute observation. I think you are bang on. I believe a lot of it was perspective. The coaches last year pretty well lost most of the guys in the locker room and a lot of the guys were playing for themselves and not the team.
fan4life Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 Stewart, JJ, and Simpson were names I heard.1-6, 1-8, out of football. Looks good on them.
The Unknown Poster Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 There were guys who reportedly quit on the team. I don't care how supposedly bad the coaching is. There will be good times and bad. A player is paid to play.

Bomber Diehard Posted September 7, 2014 Report Posted September 7, 2014 Bilukidi has just been cut but might be put back on next week. He would be a great addition.
Milt Posted September 7, 2014 Report Posted September 7, 2014 Bilukidi has just been cut but might be put back on next week. He would be a great addition. sounds like they might replace him with Kevin Vickerson next week, wonder if they'll put Christo on the PR.
voodoochylde Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Bilukidi claimed off waivers by the Ravens.
Tracker Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 And we were sooooo close.............
pigseye Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 BC has far too many LB'ers Linebacker Boseko Lokombo has agreed to terms on a contract with the Lions. Lokombo was the club’s third round selection (21st) overall in the 2013 CFL Draft. - Team Release
Bomber Diehard Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Dammm Bilukidi was almost available ...possibly soon again. We need another starting Canuck.
Dirty30 Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 We need a receiver to replace Bryant too.
Bomber Diehard Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 We need a MLB too.....lol....
17to85 Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 We need a receiver to replace Bryant too. Explain to me why we need to replace Bryant when he's in the midst of his best season ever. now it occurs to me that maybe you mean Romby Bryant not bryant turner, in which case, i'm an idiot never mind me. AKAChip Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Yeah Bryant Turner is having his worst receiving year of his career. Well, technically tied for his worst. Judd 1

Yes I should have been more clear. I meant Romby. I think he is finished and really hope that Matthews decides to return to the bombers.
Tracker Posted September 9, 2014 Report Posted September 9, 2014 Both Romby Bryant and Aaron Kelly looked pretty decent as receivers on Sunday. Doesn't mean they can't or shouldn't be replaced- particularly Bryant. Kelly actually fought for the ball on a couple of occasions.
Jpan85 Posted September 9, 2014 Report Posted September 9, 2014 Not sure many of these guys will play in the CFL year will probably wait around till the end of the NFL season.

It's my bad for not paying attention
