Tracker Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 Using coke in crack form is about as hardcore as it gets, followed by mainlining. And yup, very expensive- the late Robin Williams had his struggle with the stuff and said, "Cocaine is nature's way of telling you that you have too much money." Cocaine users get to go to Hell before they die. Its that corrosive to life.
kelownabomberfan Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 So does anyone think that he was doing this stuff while he was here? Don't they do drug tests and stuff?
mfranc Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 So does anyone think that he was doing this stuff while he was here? Don't they do drug tests and stuff? If he is injecting crack there is little doubt he was using last season in one form or another.
voodoochylde Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 Without a doubt this is a bit of a shock .. addiction is a terrible thing to try and overcome .. hopefully he gets the help he needs. BomberFan, Blue-urns and NotoriousBIG 3
KptKrunch Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 So does anyone think that he was doing this stuff while he was here? Don't they do drug tests and stuff? They do - and they did. In fact, I have it from a reliable source that they found in his locker a spoon, a (used) needle, and 3 packets (grams?) of white powder. However, the bomber caretakers missed it but luckily they had it on video. After careful, thoughful review, the CFL reviewers decided there wasn't enough evidence to support the claim (all deemed circumstantial). They were later fired, last I heard they were reviewing PI calls for the Labour Day game in Regina......................................

Noeller Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 I think he's saying you don't just go from cold to injecting Cocaine. There's a pretty long road in between... robynjt and mfranc 2
Tracker Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 yeah, he was probably chipping for awhile, and now we have an explanation how another talented player could flop so badly. If your bringing your works into the locker room, you're pretty far down the road.
JuranBoldenRules Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 I think he's saying you don't just go from cold to injecting Cocaine. There's a pretty long road in between... And if you do there's a pretty good chance of being found cold in the fetal position in a bathroom or bedroom somewhere. Pretty good chance of that injecting opiates even if he has "experience." Scary stuff.
Brandon Posted September 2, 2014 Report Posted September 2, 2014 That's insane on how fast one can spiral down!

TBieber Posted September 3, 2014 Report Posted September 3, 2014 I was going to make a joke, but this story just makes me sad inside.
iso_55 Posted September 3, 2014 Report Posted September 3, 2014 well that's something you never really expected to hear... guy seemed like he wasn't one of those types, guess you can never be sure. well that's something you never really expected to hear... guy seemed like he wasn't one of those types, guess you can never be sure. Yeah, that's a shocker. He's a practicing Mormon, too. So, it's even more surprising. Just as surprising as Wes Welker who has this squeaky clean, Weston Dressler type image suspended by the NFL for 4 games for testing positive for amphetamines. You just never know.

Well, for Welker it was likely to gain some type of ergogenic edge. Hall's usage, on the other hand, sounds much more like a downward spiral type of scenario EDIT: Scratch that -- Welker reportedly took Molly laced with amphetamines at the Kentucky Derby. Wow.
DR. CFL Posted September 3, 2014 Report Posted September 3, 2014 Why does there continue to be the expectation that professional athletes are role models?

Cocaine users get to go to Hell before they die. Its that corrosive to life. Oh ease up surgeon general.. Its a horrible drug but its no meth, heroin, krocodile, oxy or even mdma.. The fact he is injecting it tho tells me he has an addictive personality and probably stuggles mightily with addictive substances.. Hopefully he gets the help he deserves..
johnzo Posted September 3, 2014 Report Posted September 3, 2014 Drug use -- well, a lot of people use drugs and that's their private business. But shoplifting, whoah, that has a whiff of desperation to me, that he's in a real bad place. Good luck to him getting things sorted out.
JuranBoldenRules Posted September 3, 2014 Report Posted September 3, 2014 Why does there continue to be the expectation that professional athletes are role models? Good luck finding a post in this thread that has anything remotely to do with athletes being role models. But, given that he's been coaching high school, he is in a position where there is an expectation that he acts as a positive role model. Blue-urns, NotoriousBIG and blitzmore 3
17to85 Posted September 3, 2014 Report Posted September 3, 2014 Why does there continue to be the expectation that professional athletes are role models? Yeah I don't see anyone doing that, I see people surprised and offering sympathy to a guy who is likely going through some addiction troubles. Blue-urns 1
Mike Posted September 3, 2014 Report Posted September 3, 2014 As for Wes Welker taking molly at the Kentucky Derby ... ... how did we as a society not see it coming?
bearpants Posted September 3, 2014 Report Posted September 3, 2014 As for Wes Welker taking molly at the Kentucky Derby ... ... how did we as a society not see it coming? I always liked We Welker and he went up about 1000 points on my scale... As for Max Hall... all the best to him... hopefully he gets it back on track
Fatty Liver Posted September 3, 2014 Report Posted September 3, 2014 Terrible news. When Hall was cut O'Shea said he was devastated and it doesn't look like he's recovered his focus yet. Hope he hangs in there, many don't. Blue-urns 1
