Mike Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Who would you guys give the CFL awards to if the season ended today? For the Bombers, here's how I'd vote MOP - Drew Willy MODP - Chris Randle MOC - Lirim Hajrullahu MOL - Steve Morley MOR - Nic Grigsby MOSTP - Lirim Hajrullahu For the league ... MOP - Bo Levi Mitchell MODP - John Chick MOC - Andrew Harris MOL - Stanley Bryant MOR - Nic Grigsby MOSTP - Paul McCallum Harbaugh 1
sweep the leg Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 MOP - Drew Willy MODP - Ian Wild MOC - Lirim Hajrullahu MOL - Steve Morley MOR - Nic Grigsby MOSTP - Lirim Hajrullahu For the league ... MOP - John Chick MODP - John Chick MOC - Andrew Harris MOL - Xavier Fulton MOR - Nic Grigsby MOSTP - Lirim Hajrullahu
Noeller Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Agreed that Wild should be MODP and would be a giant LOL if Grigsby were to win MOR...
JuranBoldenRules Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 MOP- Willy MODP- Leggett MOC- Hajrullahu MOOL- Greaves MOR- Hajrullahu MOSTP- Hajrullahu
Goalie Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Bombers MOP- Willy MODP - Leggett MOC- Hajrullahu MOOL- Morley MOR- Grigsby MOSTP- Hajrullahu Not sure why Grigsby winning MOR would be a huge laugh, the guy leads the league in yards from scrimmage does he not? He's actually not as bad as this board made him out to be. Name another rookie for his team that has had the impact Grigsby has for us. You can't do it cuz that guy don't exist.

Mike Posted September 6, 2014 Author Report Posted September 6, 2014 As underwhelming as Grigsby is in my eyes, he's leading the league in yards from scrimmage.
Floyd Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Bombers MOP - Drew WIlly MODP - Chris Randle MOC - LH MOOL - Steve Morely MOR - Leggett MOSTP - LH MOP - Adarius Bowman MODP - John Chick MOC - LH MOOL - Brendan Labatte MOR - Leggett MOSTP - LH
Floyd Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Leggett isn't eligible for MOR Bummer - why not? Previous NFL?

Hajrullahu Sure but how many kickers win the Most Outstanding Rookie award.

17to85 Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 As underwhelming as Grigsby is in my eyes, he's leading the league in yards from scrimmage. Haven't looked at the numbers, but is he far enough ahead that the extra game he's played since the Bombers haven't had a buy affecting that?

Through nine weeks he trailed Harris by 28 yards from scrimmage (781 to 809) but has two more TDs (7 to 5). This would be an equal number of games by both players.
Blueandgold Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Steve Morely is our outstanding linemen. The sad but true state of the Bombers. It's hard to believe that him and January have been here six years already.

sweep the leg Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 I think Morley has been very good at safety. Edit: By safety I meant Centre...
Mike Posted September 6, 2014 Author Report Posted September 6, 2014 Steve Morely is our outstanding linemen. The sad but true state of the Bombers. It's hard to believe that him and January have been here six years already. Morley has been getting referred to as one of the highest performing linemen in the league this year. The move to center has gone brilliantly.
Blueandgold Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 I'm not knocking Morely's performance this year, for a guy who's been a whipping boy his entire time here by most people myself included he's performed amazing. It's just sad that we don't have that one all star dominant linemen that most teams seem too. It's even worse that our imports aren't any better than our Canadians. Tracker 1
TBieber Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 I think Morley has been very good at safety. Edit: By safety I meant Centre... Who are you, Don Campbell?

It's hard to believe that him and January have been here six years already. The only thing that's hard to believe is that we didn't try him at Centre earlier. Morely has been the target of a lot of bile on this forum and I was one of his harshest critics. He has been the steadiest and probably the best O-lineman we've had this year, import or not. That it took six years to realize that this was his natural position says an awful lot about the judgement of O'Shea's predecessors.
