Maudie fingerjammer Posted September 7, 2014 Report Posted September 7, 2014 Sorry the run IS A PROBLEM!
LeBird Posted September 7, 2014 Report Posted September 7, 2014 The biggest problem is their running! nearing 200 yards.
Maudie fingerjammer Posted September 7, 2014 Author Report Posted September 7, 2014 Sorry,,,, thought I was stating the obvious....
White Out Posted September 7, 2014 Report Posted September 7, 2014 what a catastraphe. i didnt think it would get worse from last year yet here we are. the only thing worse than losing with no hope is losing with false hope. this team is a bigger fraud than the edmonton eskimos. we'll almost certainly miss the playoffs. i did like the adjustments and 2nd half but lets face it, the riders put it into nuetral. when the going got tough and we had a sniff drew willy threw 2 picks in 3 passes. dont even know what else to say really. what an embarrassment.
Mr Dee Posted September 7, 2014 Report Posted September 7, 2014 Tell me. Did the run give up 16 points? SPuDS, blitzmore, robynjt and 1 other 4

Well by loosing we should be learning and getting better. They got 16 points from their ST's. I know excuses don't count.

Do you have a brain injury? This team is 100x better than last year. Let me tell you something, we are going to win the crossover battle and be in the GC. Sask wont, so get that watermelon off your empty head. robynjt, Logan007 and blitzmore 3
iso_55 Posted September 7, 2014 Report Posted September 7, 2014 Run D is a huge problem but we are much, much better than last year. Gonna take time to fix this team from the mess left from the Kelly & Mack eras. Floyd, B-F-F-C and blitzmore 3
17to85 Posted September 7, 2014 Report Posted September 7, 2014 We scored more on offense than they did.... but they got 2 big plays for touchdowns on special teams... that was the difference in the game otherwise the Bombers were the superior team. blitzmore 1
sweep the leg Posted September 7, 2014 Report Posted September 7, 2014 D only gave up 107 yards passing and 14 points. ST's and a lack of discipline cost us this game.
iso_55 Posted September 7, 2014 Report Posted September 7, 2014 We gave up 200 yds rushing. Kind of cancels out the nice passing stats.
17to85 Posted September 7, 2014 Report Posted September 7, 2014 We gave up 200 yds rushing. Kind of cancels out the nice passing stats. but only one TD drive given up. D and O weren't the reasons this game was a loss, it's all on the special teams gaffes and the penalties. BattleLevel 1

Mark F Posted September 7, 2014 Report Posted September 7, 2014 stopped mighty saskatchewan for one yard, third and one to give the team a very good chance to win.
17to85 Posted September 7, 2014 Report Posted September 7, 2014 The got the ball back for the offense twice in the dying minutes. Offense got greedy on the first try at the end, never should have made that play but I'll forgive a young qb for that. 2nd chance they had too far to go and not enough time, but when we needed them the D made some plays. Yeah they gave up some rushing yards but it really didn't hurt them on the scoreboard. The special teams did far more damage handing free points to the Riders.
Mr Dee Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 I don't want to hear another damn thing about the run defence losing games. Just didn't happen. SPuDS 1
pigseye Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Some of you are not considering the pounding running the ball has on wearing down a defence.
iso_55 Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 We gave up 200 yds rushing. Kind of cancels out the nice passing stats. but only one TD drive given up. D and O weren't the reasons this game was a loss, it's all on the special teams gaffes and the penalties. This is how Stamps fans are talking about their defense giving up big plays to Edmonton last night. Hey, we gave up some big plays. But so what we still won. What's Calgary best known for? The Big Choke in the playoffs. I think we'll see them give up too many big plays on defense in the Western Final & lose again. MOS can't be happy with 200 yds rushing on the ground. If he is, well he's living in a dream world.
17to85 Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 That's the entire philosophy though! you might get yards but you won't get points from running the ball. If the special teams hadn't made the mistakes for 2 touchdowns we'd be talking about it working.
Blueandgold Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 307 yards of total offense isn't a good game in the CFL.
TBURGESS Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 200 run yards against isn't called Working. James 1
mfranc Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 307 yards of total offense isn't a good game in the CFL. Apparently it was good enough.
