Michael Jackson Documentary Director: Biopic 'Will Glorify A Man Who Raped Children'

The director who made a documentary about Michael Jackson’s alleged child sexual abuse warned Sunday that a new Lionsgate biopic about the King of Pop “will glorify a man who raped children.”

It was announced last week that a movie dramatization of Jackson’s life, approved by his estate, is on the way and that Jackson will be played by his nephew Jaafar Jackson.

“No one is talking about ‘canceling’ this movie, which will glorify a man who raped children,” “Leaving Neverland” director Dan Reed wrote in The Guardian.

“What the total absence of outrage accompanying the announcement of this movie tells us is that Jackson’s seduction is still a living force, operating from beyond the grave,” he continued. “It seems that the press, his fans and the vast older demographic who grew up loving Jackson are willing to set aside his unhealthy relationship with children and just go along with the music.”

"A pair of Winnipeggers got a shoutout from the stage during music's biggest night of the year.

"I wanna thank the Bros. Landreth for writing this kick-ass song," legendary American blues singer and guitarist Bonnie Raitt said in her acceptance speech for Best Americana Performance at Sunday's 65th Grammy Awards.

The song she won for, Made Up Mind, is a cover of the Winnipeg alternative country and folk group's song from their 2013 album Let it Lie."

Love those guys... Stoked for them. Shout out to Murray Pulver, one of the best, most underrated producers in Canada...

And a genuinely nice guy.  He and his wife are people you wish you could have a weekly get-together with because they're just so nice and down to earth.

I think this is it for the last 2 original members of Kiss, quite frankly Stanley can't sing the songs anymore and uses back tracks, and Gene isn't getting any younger. In a few years I can actually see 2 new members taking over and Kiss is some form or another starts all over again.

make sure to hear sierra ferrell.

This song.... Best thing I've heard in months.  Her show looks like a hoot, too.

Also - seeing a concert at Red Rocks is definitely on my bucket list.
