bearpants Posted March 21, 2016 Report Posted March 21, 2016 I really shouldn't have come to this thread.... so much for being productive today...
Taynted_Fayth Posted March 21, 2016 Report Posted March 21, 2016 I'm on a bit of a cover kick right now, especially acoustic covers cuz I'm always jammin with my buddy on his acoustics and doin the same thing and then other songs we like jamming to also I dont think they are up on youtube, but if you wanna hear some real rock n roll go to reverbnation.com and check out my bro Kyle's band 77guns, they just back together after a few years hiatus while he did other projects like BlackHound with the drummer, but those guys put on a crazy good live show Rich 1
bearpants Posted March 23, 2016 Report Posted March 23, 2016 I've never felt I relate so much to a parody song... this is brilliant, gotta love Weird Al... I fight every urge in my body to not be the grammar police constantly around here...
Taynted_Fayth Posted March 24, 2016 Report Posted March 24, 2016 and a classic for the cherry of my playlist tonight
Taynted_Fayth Posted March 24, 2016 Report Posted March 24, 2016 after listening to this, i suppose it could have some promise. Axl can hit the high notes, just not so convinced it'll work that well with an aged AC/DC, would be the wrong way for them to go out if this doesnt work but;
bearpants Posted March 24, 2016 Report Posted March 24, 2016 I'm really disappointed we never got a chance to see Pantera with Zakk Wylde... which was rumoured after Dime's death and after Phil and Vinny made up... Zakk is one of the few people who could come close to filing Dimebag's shoes... Taynted_Fayth 1

MOBomberFan Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 Taynted, if you keep this up I'm going to run out of likes Taynted_Fayth 1
MOBomberFan Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 So..... I saw them play on Colbert last night. I've seen Japanese metal before thanks to Global Metal and none of it really resonated with me, just too much glam and cheese. These guys intrigued me though, so I had to listen to a bit more... 1:40 through 2:20 is pure metal. I'm not ashamed. Check it out metal heads. Taynted_Fayth 1
Taynted_Fayth Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 lol i watched that this morning, im still left as lil confused as to what i watched
Taynted_Fayth Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 they played "Gimme Chocolate" on Colbert so maybe i havent seen this above vid yet actually
MOBomberFan Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 Not unlike the first time I saw Die Antwoord... wtf did I just watch.... must watch more...
Taynted_Fayth Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 (edited) the vid you posted reminded me of anime but with a final fantasy soundtrack (at least FFX had their take on some metal) the music is decent (would be better without the synthesizer) , but i dunno about these girls and their weird dancing. I'm still waiting for the death growl and hair twirl lol Edited April 6, 2016 by Taynted_Fayth
Taynted_Fayth Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 I listen to Octane alot on Sirius - kinda like Freak 107 was but heavier, they play their share of symphonic metal, usually with a female vocalist in there, I could see that middle chick who sings the most, becoming one of those types, I can't imagine those 2 pig tailed girls stick around very long with that band
johnzo Posted April 7, 2016 Report Posted April 7, 2016 (edited) Yeah, Taynted is killin it these past few weeks. Just saw High on Fire for the first time live. Holy crap. Most crushing show I've seen in awhile. They've got the perfect metal combination of punishing heaviness and ninja fluidity. I got so caught up in it that I jumped in the pit. I'm a big guy, 6'0" and 220ish and still I got tossed around like a bottle on the ocean. So much fun. And I'm gonna get to see Voivod in a couple months! I've seen them a few times, but never as a headliner. Pumped for that. Edited April 7, 2016 by johnzo

The Unknown Poster Posted April 17, 2016 Report Posted April 17, 2016 Im digging this song from Vinyl (HBO) That's Mick Jagger's kid on lead vocals. And for those of you who haven't seen the show yet, here's a great scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anWc88q2GhE Brandon Blue&Gold 1

Taynted_Fayth Posted April 20, 2016 Report Posted April 20, 2016 i'll be enjoying a few days of non stop music in montebello Quebec in June; I've never heard of this festival before but it's been around for a while, but this line up is too good to pass up
