AtlanticRiderFan Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 As much as I hate to say it: Go Stamps.
Mr. Perfect Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 Cornish, all day. Early and often. Give him 20+ carries, the rest will take care of itself. Noeller 1
Mr. Perfect Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Glenn out of the game with an injured left elbow but it doesn't appear serious. Beck taking reps.
SmokinBlue Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 He was playing like crap anyway.
Mr. Perfect Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Harris down. Looks to be in considerable pain. Left ankle/leg got pinned under him. Literally being carried off the field.
Goalie Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 harris being carried off by team mates, HUGE LOSS.
SmokinBlue Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Glenn pulled a drew willy there.
Goalie Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Glenn pulled a drew willy there. Except Glenn has been doing this his entire career. Seriously. You have to be trolling now.
SmokinBlue Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Who is to say drew wont be too, he hasnt learned from his previous mistakes once yet. Same old same old. Gotta be smarter than forcing the ball into an obviously poor location.

Goalie Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Yeah guess the guy has a point, he did it a few weeks back vs the riders and hasn't since. No learning there at all.
do or die Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 One guy is 2nd year in league......other guy, 13 years in league See the difference?
Tracker Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 There are darned few QBs in this league who have lit it up in their first year as starters- probably a half-dozen in the 100+ years, so let's let Willy grow into the job. Besides, we have one of the worst O-lines in the league, and that has to be hampering his development.
SmokinBlue Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Except it's not tough mistakes he is making, tiles are mistakes you shouldn't make in college let alone pros. It's bad when I'm yelling what the heck are you doing before the ball even leaves his hand. I sure hope he starts learning from them.
Mark H. Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Watching the B.C. defense pretty much shut down Calgary...our O didn't actually do that badly against them last week. You've got a top notch secondary combined with a tough as nails DL that gives Bighill and Elimimian room to roam.
17to85 Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 People are not looking around at how hard it is to play offence in the CFL this year. There are lots of teams that struggle to score and score TDs. Scores under 20 have been very common this year.

There are lots of teams that struggle to score and score TDs. Scores under 20 have been very common this year. Looking at the QBs league-wide, one would think offenses should be better. Outside of Montreal, everyone has a decent - excellent starting QB. IMO, OL play is the biggest factor. There are far too many plays where QB's are getting harassed and hit. There aren't any rushing stats that jump out at you either.
17to85 Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 Wally Buono was talking about is on tsn when they had him in the booth, his assessment was the extra DI spots help the defenses a lot allowing them more different looks. Seems like it could be a valid assessment. Get more specialized players on D whereas the offense is pretty much static with the players on it.
Mark H. Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 There's also a high number of dominant defensive players league-wide. Gone are the days when it was just Cam Wake and a few others.
Rich Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 Football seems to go in cycles as the game changes with different players and new schemes. Throw in the Ottawa expansion draft to really jumble things up and offences need time to adjust. The higher scoring offences will come back eventually.

If you've watched the trends for 20 years, you can see that offences always take longer to adjust. It's worth noting that more Canadians start on offense, so it may take longer to find new talent.
