FrostyWinnipeg Posted September 16, 2020 Report Posted September 16, 2020 Sony has revealed the PS5 release date and PS5 price during its Showcase livestream, after a months-long wait for the full picture on its next-gen games console. The PlayStation 5 will release in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea on November 12, with the rest of the world getting the console on November 19. The full version of the PS5 system will cost $499.99US. The PS5 Digital Edition, meanwhile, which will not feature a disc drive, will cost a leaner $399.99US. This will release at the same time.

Same US pricing as Xbox. Let's hope they get the Canadian pricing in at $600 too.

JCon Posted September 22, 2020 Report Posted September 22, 2020 Xbox X and S go on pre-sale today at 10am (Central). I'll probably pre-order one and decide which to keep prior to launch.

Includes an extra controller, Spider-Man, and another, pre-loaded, game for $809. It's not a deal, per se, but you get the extra game free and saves having to look for another controller. blue_gold_84 1

Wally was 806 all in for same minus the Spidey game. Edited September 25, 2020 by FrostyWinnipeg

Brandon Posted September 25, 2020 Report Posted September 25, 2020 Is the pre loaded game the Astro bot game? If so then it's more so a tech demo then a full fledge game. The extra controller is a good thing to get as the PS5 is not backwards compatible with the PS4 controller. The xbox series x and s can both use xbox one controllers on all its games.
