Brandon Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Watson was definitely hurt on the field he limped a lot... Denmark blocking is a site for hilarity... Romby is non existent... Kelly I will say is one of the few guys with some balls and drive ... Grigsby can fall down from the wind....
SmokinBlue Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 He clearly has enough `time` to make the throws or he wouldn't consistently be putting up 300 yard games. Grigsby plays like his shoes are one size too big. As far as our receivers are concerned we needat least one tough big bodied receiver that can carry guys on his back for yards and can block consistently well.
Goalie Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 bombers lead the league in big plays, willy throws lots of short passes with quite a bit of yac yards, happened several times today, 5 10 yard pass turned in to a big gain... Just watching the game and watching other games, you can see with your own eyes that willy gets way less time to throw than pretty much every other qb in the league.

TBieber Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Over 300 yards passing, no turnovers, over 65 per cent completion percentage. Yes, lets blame the quarterback. Unbelievable. By the way, the guy who 95 per cent of this message board wanted in the offseason was just over 55 per cent passing, didn't throw or run for a touchdown and had under 200 yards passing. I don't disagree but that time count was inexcusable and you can't expect to win a game when you score 11 points. You score 11 points when you take 15 penalties for 120 yards. As for the timecount, considering this, what would you have liked him to do...? Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming 4m O'Shea says Willy couldn't hear play call, which lead to timecount violation on second and goal in final seconds. #Bombers Call his own play. You got it
gbill2004 Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Romby had a decent game tonight. Three catches for 53 yards and one rush for 8 yards.
JuranBoldenRules Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Willy's carrying the offense. No run game, one consistent playmaker, a bunch of guys who show up once a month (Kelly, Bryant, Watson). Hard for me to put much blame on him. Our team just isn't very good. Lets use the best team in the league as an example cuz thats who we want to be like... they have given up like 15 sacks all seasons, bomber give that up in 2 or 3 games. It's very obvious that Willy does not get enough time to throw always. Easy to sit on the computer and say he held on to the ball too long but pretty tough to say that when you can't see the entire field, was anyone at all open? most times? probably not. who knows though, don't kid yourself, watching at home on tv you can't tell. I'm not sure how you disagree with that statement, just watch any other game really. Pretty amazing to see Calgarys oline compared to ours, it's night and day. Mr. Perfect 1
iso_55 Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Comes down to this... the holding call on JFG, the icing by the refs poor clock management, the playcalling miscommunication by MB/Willy... lots of factors. You can't lay it on the QB. Put this on Walters who appears to be satisfied to stand pat.
SmokinBlue Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Or you are only watching our games.
Jpan85 Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Hamilton had a lot of coverage sacks tonight. Willy had time on a lot of them but could not find any one.

You got it You guys act like this is the NFL where the QB has 40 seconds to react if he doesn't get the play call in. The coach tells him that MB makes the play calls, not him, and if MB isn't sending in the play call or they're having technical difficulties, the QB doesn't have time to go...oh screw it, I'll just call a play and then have time to tell his team what the play is. He's either got to be given the OK to call his own play, or be told he has to wait for the OC to call it. This is a rookie starting QB here. This isn't Ray at the helm who's been doing this for 10 years. Geez you guys, think about what you're saying. blitzmore and SPuDS 2
Goalie Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Or you are only watching our games. nope. Watch all the games i can. Watching one right now... calgarys oline compared to ours.. tell me the calgary qb doesn't get way more time to throw the ball.
SmokinBlue Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 He doesnt and drew tate is also playing like crap, main difference in this game is cornish and sanders on returns.
Goalie Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 He doesnt and drew tate is also playing like crap, main difference in this game is cornish and sanders on returns. Whatever, you can see what you want to see but its quite clear that he gets lots of time to throw. Yeah theres one or two times where he doesnt.. but for the most part, he has all day.. willy does not and if you can't see that, you are kidding yourself. Logan007 and Mr. Perfect 2
SmokinBlue Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Same to you, clearly your seeing what you want to see.
Goalie Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Same to you, clearly your seeing what you want to see. I would bet that the majority of the people on here see it the exact same way. Hey man, it seems to me what you are saying is our oline is good enough.. when all of us know it isn't. Whatever man, you can pretend all you want but fact is, our oline sucks and everybody except apparently you knows it. We have given up the most sacks in the league, our qb gets hurried pretty much all game every game, how don't you see it? Are you trolling right now? Honestly, didn't think you were but if you can't see that our oline is a huge issue, then you gotta be trolling. Yup that Cornish is just doing it all on his own, its got nothing to do with the oline at all.. nope. Nothing. You put Willy and Grigsby behind that line, same thing happens. You put cornish behind our line, not sure he's half as good.
Logan007 Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Same to you, clearly your seeing what you want to see. Dude, you and Kpt and everyone else blaming Willy are letting your emotions cloud your judgement. You're just looking for someone to blame for the loss and you're putting it on Willy. Had he scored the TD at the end you'd have forgotten any other mistakes he made today and be heralding him as the savior. But instead you're taking the last plays of the game, which were butchered by the refs constant stopping of the game while they had momentum, and feeding off of that. I have not once seen you complain that it was Lirim's, or Wild's fault for losing the game because of that botched punt attempt. Have you not noticed that we're not the only team in the league that is low scoring for the last few weeks? Something is going wonky or the defenses are just overpowering the offenses. You're blaming Willy as if he should be throwing for 400 yards and going 30 for 30 in attempts. He's a rookie QB and he's barely getting time to throw. Wanna know why he's throwing for over 300 yards? Cause he's a pretty damn good rookie QB! Go eat your Collaros or Burris cornflakes...cause it's too bad we didn't get them right?
SmokinBlue Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 It wasnt just the end of the game, our offense did nothing for 3.75 quarters. It was a case of too little too late, even the drive to get down there at the end only happened because of a big mistake in coverage by hamilton resulting in a huge gain by romby. And none of us are blaming drew, thats you putting wors in our mouth. The point is he is making the same mistakes every game and the coaching staff is doing nothing to correct them. He has to stop mindlessly throwing the ball to his initial read and go threw his progressions,
SPuDS Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Lol... Such insight! Why not tell us how ya really feel..

He has to stop mindlessly throwing the ball to his initial read and go threw his progressions, You know why he can't go through his progressions? cuz our oline doesn't give him the time too. It's true man. He just doesn't have the time normally too look around, if the first read aint open, or aint there... he's gonna get smoked more than likely cuz our oline probably couldn't stop a pee wee team from nailing our qb. Believe what you like and what you want but it's fact there, he doesn't go through his progressions because he doesn't have the time too. Count it at times, it's 1 second 1.5 seconds, guy in his face... it's amazing that he puts up the yards he does with so little help from the guys who are paid to protect him. After every play, seriously, it seems like every play, willy is hit, he's getting up off the turf, 1.5 seconds and he's nailed.. 1.5 seconds dude, that's pathetic and that's on the oline.
SmokinBlue Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 No its not, he had time in the ssk game and he had time in this game. The last few plays are a perfect example, he had all day to throw but he didnr even look if people were where they needed to be, not just once but on both of those throws.
SPuDS Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 He had all day because they were playing to stop the pass! Do you really believe the drivel you spew or are you simply here to antagonize?

The last few plays are a perfect example, he had all day to throw but he didnr even look if people were where they needed to be, not just once but on both of those throws. No he really didn't. quit going back to the sask game, let it go.. we aint talking about the sask game several weeks ago. You gonna use that sask game as an example a year from now too? Doubt it cuz i don't know if you remember a year back even, you must not cuz if you did, you'd be well aware that the oline was the same last season too, not time for the qbs to throw... guess what.. morley january greaves and jones, 4 of our starting oline the last several weeks started on that oline too. They aren't good enough and if Willy wasn't so tough, man, he'd be in a sling or walking boot or be using crutches on the sidelines like every other qb has been the last season or 2 or even 3 now. 4 of the damn oline guys are the same from years past, they are the problem and it's gonna be that way a while unfortunately, hopefully goossen can start next year, hell why not next week, could he be worse? what about swiston? hinse? could they be worse than the same crap we have been playing the last 2 or 3 hell 4 or 5 seasons on the oline.
