gbill2004 Posted October 7, 2014 Report Posted October 7, 2014 Would be nice if the Stamps rested him for both upcoming games vs the Bombers: @Newstalkstamps: According to Huff injury to @jonnycornish is a strained ACL. Cornish has wear and tear on his body from last couple of years. #CFL
Tracker Posted October 7, 2014 Report Posted October 7, 2014 Naheed Nenshi could rush for 150 yards against the Bombers, so losing Cornish is no big deal for the Stamps. Mr. Perfect, AtlanticRiderFan, basslicker and 2 others 5
gbill2004 Posted October 7, 2014 Author Report Posted October 7, 2014 @jonnycornish: Logs on Twitter. Learn I have a sprained ACL... OMG I wonder if I'll be okay!?!?! Goto @calstampeders, see tweet saying I'll be okay. Whew! @jonnycornish: Okay, Spoke with my team trainer. No ACL strain. I thought that was wrong, it is what we thought, a minor MCL strain. #poorreporting
kelownabomberfan Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 Naheed Nenshi could rush for 150 yards against the Bombers, so losing Cornish is no big deal for the Stamps. Only if Rob Ford is playing QB AtlanticRiderFan 1
Tracker Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 Ford might be disqualified for using PEDs. mbrg 1
iso_55 Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Rumours that Cornish won't play against Winnipeg. He missed practice today with the flu & the Stamps may want to give him another week to rest his knee to make sure it's totally fine for the final few games & GC run.
Fraser Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 I'd give him a rest too against Winnipeg.
Tracker Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 I'd give him a rest too against Winnipeg. Yup. He could collapse from exhaustion.
Goalie Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 I get this funny feeling that for some reason isn't going away, it's about this week vs calgary, I dunno why but i honestly for real get the feeling that we will somehow pull off the win. However if Willy is hurt and doesn't play, no chance but i think if he does play, i see us winning for some reason. I dunno why either, logic says the stamps in a blow out but... just can't shake that feeling that an upset is about to happen. Maybe it's the fact that Calgary has nothing to play for and the Bombers should be quite motivated this week, I dunno, just a feeling. Haven't really had it in a while but i got it right now for some reason. I'm probably wrong, wouldn't be the first time and won't be the last but I just see a very motivated for some reason bomber team showing up this week... basically the bombers season is on the line this week, It really is, people can say what they want but the season is truly legit on the line this week, yeah its unlikely we make the playoffs, it's actually very unlikely but since we seem to have something to play for this week and Calgary really doesn't, I just get this feeling we beat them.
Fatty Liver Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Only if Rob Ford is playing QB Kids, pay attention, this is a valid demonstration of the effects of inertia, momentum and crack..
tacklewasher Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 I'd give him a rest too against Winnipeg. Just like they rested him against Montreal? Not that we have a hope in this game.
Tehedra Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 I have a feeling we win this week as well, because I don't want to lose my bet with my coworker! lol
iso_55 Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Willy may not play. Brohm will have to play an entire game which will be a different situation for him than last week.
Mr Dee Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Willy may not play. Brohm will have to play an entire game which will be a different situation for him than last week. And I have no problem with that. Over 200 yards in limited time, under any circumstances, is pretty decent. This would be a pretty stiff test for Brohm, and I hope to see him in there and see how he does.
BomberBall Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Cornish praticed today; for what it's worth. Willy did not.
Blueandgold Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Willy may not play. Brohm will have to play an entire game which will be a different situation for him than last week. We're going to get absolutely slaughtered even with Willy, it'll be extremely ugly with Brohm in the lineup.
Tracker Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Is there really much difference between getting beaten 36-3 or 54-3? Our best hope is that the Stamps will hyperventilate from laughing and pass out from time to time.
Mr Dee Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 And I'd argue that under Brohm, we actually held onto the ball longer, keeping it out of the other team's hands. It still boils down to execution and not giving the team points on turnovers…you know, like we did again last game. In the blink of an eye there was a 14 point turnaround (at least 10) and we're not good enough to withstand those kind of mistakes. We'll play the game and if we're at least prepared, we'll be in the game.

Stop listening to that funny feeling, it's been wrong all year
AtlanticRiderFan Posted October 17, 2014 Report Posted October 17, 2014 Might as well sit him. Calgary has basically locked first place, so they might as well not risk aggravating his injury.
