Jacquie Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Battle for first in the East continues.
Fatty Liver Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Crompton looking fantastic, he may be a more complete QB than Willy.
johnzo Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 For a guy parachuted into the starting role with no training camp, I've been pretty impressed with Crompton.
USABomberfan Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Quiet thread so far. I gotta say though, the irony continues to amaze me that a head coach (Tom Higgins) goes from being on borrowed time after his last loss against us, to now being the god of Montreal. So now with a win here, it's them vs the Tiger Cats for 1st in the East. Just unreal.
Tracker Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 The best coaches have the best quarterbacks- makes me wonder what Berry or even LaPolice could have done with a decent QB.
Floyd Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Berry took a decent QB in a system that was working... and 'improved' it until we hired Mike Kelly.
Fatty Liver Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Crompton definitely playing with confidence which Willy is sorely lacking right now.
USABomberfan Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 O'Shea take note, you can challenge PI when your D is called for it.
johnzo Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 ook, J-Crompt, you gotta tuck in that ball.
Fatty Liver Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Sure would like to see Slaton or Steele playing for the Bombers, both of those guys run with purpose.
Brandon Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Crompton is highly entertaining to watch. Dinwiddie also looking better then Bellefool.
johnzo Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Als determined to let Toronto make a game of it.
USABomberfan Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 The best coaches have the best quarterbacks- makes me wonder what Berry or even LaPolice could have done with a decent QB. They also have the best RBs, just take a look at Tyrell Sutton and he is an instant upgrade over what we got. He not only runs with authority and runs straight downhill and makes people miss, he also picks up blitzers on Crompton's blindside giving him that extra second to throw. We have not had a RB like that in a while.
johnzo Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Gord Miller is struggling today. "The field goal doesn't get them much, it brings them to within ... eight." Love Dunigan's color commentary though. Sounds like a drunk uncle who is just having a great time at the party.

The guy is a very good coach but he needs players just like Vince Lombard or Bill Belichek.
