Mr Dee Posted October 31, 2014 Report Posted October 31, 2014 - Hamilton - no Gable, no Fantuz - Luke Tasker has 16 catches for 250 yards and two touchdowns in his last three games. - The Ticats continue to lead the league in all four run stopping categories. - Zach Collaros has thrown for 300 yards or more in the majority of his starts, but the REDBLACKS have allowed only three 100-yard passers in 16 games this season (Kevin Glenn, Drew Willy, and Dan LeFevour). - In 2014, when a team does NOT give up a sack the touchdown percentage is 14.4%, or one in every 6.9 drives. That success rate drops to just one touchdown in every 27 drives (3.7%) when a club allows one or more sacks in any possession (only 14 touchdowns in the 378 drives where at least one sack has been allowed). *CFL NEWS - Ottawa News- http://ottawacitizen.com/sports/football/cfl/cfl-confirms-fumble-call-should-have-been-upheld - The Canadian Football League has admitted a video-replay official shouldn’t have overturned a call that would have given the Ottawa Redblacks possession of the football in the Montreal Alouettes’ end of the field in the fourth quarter of Friday’s game at TD Place stadium. “After reviewing the play, we believe that there wasn’t enough indisputable evidence to overturn the call on the field of a fumble,” a league spokesman wrote in an email. How much of QB Danny O'Brien will we see? How Long will Collaros stay in the game? Will we see a copious amount of spittle from Coach Austin or does this nothing game tone him down? Unofficially, 2 of 3 fans are picking the Ti-Cats to win. Mike O'Shea says he'll have to see the game film before he chooses a winner. Paul Wiecek says no one form Ottawa will answer any questions of his until after the season ends, so he'll just write answers anyways. Go RedBlacks! Fatty Liver and Mark F 2
Mark F Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 Go RedBlacks! Thanks ! good pre game analysis. I want to watch this game, but Ottawa does some good things, then fumbles, and gives up a kick return td. Hamilton offence not looking so hot. OBrien looked very good, till he got clobbered. Burriss… looks like he won't be a number one any more. I guess people are out trick or treating or something….. Go Redblacks!
Mr Dee Posted November 1, 2014 Author Report Posted November 1, 2014 Through half this PVR'd game, I like the tempo that Ottawa is showing. Good running against the top run defence in the league and nice scheming against that D. Nice to see young O'Brien get some reps and move the ball nicely. Really glad we kept Hajrullahu over Maher. At this point, Hamilton is relying on special teams and turnovers to stay in this game. 3 sacks for Ottawa... Grigsby 0 for 1 on receptions. 2nd half - Ham. coming out of the gate strong. FG 4 sacks Ottawa Jeremiah Johnson running well….and gets a TD 22-17 Ott. Tip interception for a TD for Ham. 24-22 Ham…..more points off Ott. turnovers. And finally a Ham/ turnover. Miles terrible drop…then a very good catch. Exchange of FGs - 27-25 Ham. ANOTHER pick 6 - wow, they remind me of…well never mind. 34-25 Ham…..21 points off turnovers. Fingertip miss TD pass to Matt Carter, oh the pain. Burris has the over-throwsies tonight. Nobody blocks Ted Laurent? okie-dokie And…it's over. I'm not sure the team that played better won tonight. I'll tell you one thing, both teams' OCs called good games and make our play calling of late seem amateurish. Mark F 1
DR. CFL Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 Suitor all over Ottawa at the end for not kicking the FG to get it to 8 and going for the onside kick. Last I heard the rule had been changed back. Ottawa kicks the FG and Hamilton elects to scrimmage the ball from their 35. Nice job Suitor.
Mark F Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 Will Burriss play again? He doesn't look consistent at all. Their backup seemed to play better. Maher misses 29 yard field goal. wow. wonder if they want him back. Hirim v. Maher. One very good decision the coaches made. not bad for first year team, Ottawa is very close to being a good team.
blitzmore Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 That was Ottawa's game to win minus the gift turnovers.
17to85 Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 Hirim v. Maher. One very good decision the coaches made. remember when people here flipped their **** cause Maher was cut?
iso_55 Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 Ottawa receivers suck. Grigsby sucks. Just didn't care about that game or who won. Even when the score was close with 7 minutes left I switched to Blue Bloods on CTV.
USABomberfan Posted November 2, 2014 Report Posted November 2, 2014 I didn't watch this game but saw the stats, and once again Rick Campbell was an idiot. He's a QB wrecker and I guarantee you he just made another Justin Goltz out of Danny O'Brien. Yup, I said it.
Goalie Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 If Campbell got fired, I'd seriously consider him as a candidate for DC here. Very good D in Calgary when he was there and very good Ottawa D too. I know Nelson might be the DC but Campbell has a pretty solid resume when he was the DC.
17to85 Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 Do we really expect an expansion team to fire any coaches after 1 season?
SPuDS Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 Do we really expect an expansion team to fire any coaches after 1 season? This is dejardin we are talking about... so nothing would shock me..
