DR. CFL Posted November 7, 2014 Report Posted November 7, 2014 There needs to be an attempt by the HC and management to improve at both OC and DC. There won't be the mass shuffle of staffs as last year so there should be less competition to solicit and promote from people available on other teams.
rebusrankin Posted November 7, 2014 Report Posted November 7, 2014 Its worth making a big offer to Milanovich.
gbill2004 Posted November 7, 2014 Report Posted November 7, 2014 Is Milanovich's contract up after this season? If he hasn't yet signed an extension with the Argos, I'd say he outta there.
GCn20 Posted November 7, 2014 Report Posted November 7, 2014 Fire them all....then hire Milanovich and fire him too....rabble rabble...must be firings...nothing to talk about....rabble rabble DR. CFL 1
Logan007 Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 CFL Official Feed ✔ @CFL Scott Milanovich expects to captain the @TorontoArgos ship again next year. http://on.cfl.ca/E3FKF #GCPlayoffs pic.twitter.com/7s2rtnVxoq He's not coming here so let's move on from Milanovich.
bearpants Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 I'm not on the "Milo coming here to be OC" bandwagon... but if I were an Argos fan, this article would do nothing in inspire confidence that he'll definitely be back...
Stickem Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 I think Milo is leaving the door open. Nothing is definite in T.O, things have deteriorated there this year and I would expect some change. They also missed the playoffs and a gig as o.c. with his former pal 'might' be on his agenda. Big bucks for sure BUT it sure would help us out. O.K. so everyone is dreaming and speculating. Here's a scenario ..Trestman to T.O. and Milo comes here. Yes I am dreaming and speculating in hi-def.
iso_55 Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 Why do people think that Milanovich would resign as a HC to come here as an OC under MOS? Just because? DR. CFL 1
Logan007 Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 Why do people think that Milanovich would resign as a HC to come here as an OC under MOS? Just because? That's what I'm thinking. Only way a HC goes back to being an OC is if no one wants him as HC anywhere. And I could see Ottawa scooping him up if he were to be fired. iso_55 1
DR. CFL Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 Article today says he isn't going anywhere

iso_55 Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 What CFL team would scoop up Marc Trestman if he's fired in Chicago & wants to come back to the CFL? I don't see any HC losing his job this off season.

Tracker Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Montreal, certainly would want Trestman back, but I think that BC and Ottawa would also be in the mix.
iso_55 Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Man, our organizational review must be something.
GCn20 Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 I think that dominoes would definitely start to fall if Trestman were available. Likely Montreal, but BC, Sask, Ottawa, and Toronto are also possibilities.
iso_55 Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 How would that look firing a current CFL HC to hire Trestman? I think the optics would play badly for the GM who does tha. It'll look like he has no idea what he's doing. #hellomarceldesjardins

Jpan85 Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 I don't know Trestmen would go to MTL if it meant Higgins would be fired.
TBURGESS Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 I'd fire O'Shea to get Trestman in a second and I wouldn't worry about the optics. In fact, I think the optics would be that we just got better and that would help in bringing in coaches and players. rebusrankin 1

You're probably right, but I wasn't talking about what the Bombers would do. I was talking about what I would do.
Jpan85 Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 I was saying Trestman would never come to a team under those circumstances. Not that teams would not try.
