Mr. Perfect Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 Did anyone else watch the game? You missed a great one if you didn't. The Bisons were down 37-18 in the second half but made some amazing plays on special teams and defence to claw their way back. It looked like Saskatchewan was going to take the lead late in the fourth quarter but an interception at our own five by Jordan Linnen was taken all the way back to the 10 yard line. On second and long the Bisons called a reverse option pass where Demski threw a touchdown to seal the deal. Warrennip 1

Goalie Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 Yeah, watched it for sure then the channel messed up so i changed for a bit, went back and glad i did. What a game really. That TD throw by Demski to Yantz was beautiful.
Jpan85 Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 Guess I should be pulling for the Alma Mater to beat the Dino's today so the Bison's get home field advantage.

The thing I found most amusing was when Yantz moved out from under center to yell blocking schemes in the ears of the right guard and tackle - the premise being that crowd noise was a factor at a CIS game! He moves out to the right, direct snap to LaFrance, fleaflicker to Demski who was coming from the left side on a sweep, who throws a 20 yard pass (that looked like it went 30 yards vertical) to Yantz in the back corner (curve) of the end zone. And makes a pretty decent jump ball catch under decent coverage. Exactly as they drew it up.
AtlanticRiderFan Posted November 22, 2014 Report Posted November 22, 2014 Was away on vacation, so couldn't attend. Sounded like a close game, but as has been a pattern lately, the Huskies can't hold on to the lead in the semis. Tough team to beat though. Bison have always been my dark horse team. Record has been middle of the road, but they actually got a pretty strong team. Beat Huskies and Dinos twice, two of the best teams in the league. Will be rooting for Manitoba in the Uteck Bowl. Would be very nice to see a Canadawest team win the Vanier again soon.
