iso_55 Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 That's painful to read in that format.
Noeller Posted November 12, 2014 Author Report Posted November 12, 2014 That's painful to read in that format. I swear to God, when I posted it, it showed the proper formatting!! I'll try and fix it.....
FrostyWinnipeg Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 Grigsby was an All-Star, that will please the masses on MBB.
Noeller Posted November 12, 2014 Author Report Posted November 12, 2014 How is Larry Arugala not named an All Star?? McCallum????? Seriously...we get NO respect.

Mr Dee Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 K - Paul McCalum (BC) over K Lirim Hajrullahu? I disagree with this. It's very close…stats wise, but PM kicking indoors, for half the games, tilts it to LH in my books. And if I'm an Easter team's RB and a RB comes over from the West, for a game or two, and gets the all-star nod, then I'm all-star mad about that. An EASTERN Division player that should have been named. I don't care one way or the other about Grigsby, but that's a sham. MOBomberFan and Brandon Blue&Gold 2
Noeller Posted November 12, 2014 Author Report Posted November 12, 2014 Lotta Bombers got robbed because most of the voting media doesn't actually watch the games, and because the Bombers had a poor season, the individuals suffer in award voting...
mbrg Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 Congrats to Denmark for another season of quietly being fantastic once again. K - Paul McCalum (BC) over K Lirim Hajrullahu? An EASTERN Division player that should have been named. I don't care one way or the other about Grigsby, but that's a sham. Most of these votes come from reporters. They don't give it much thought, they look at the stats, put the donut down long enough to make an X by the guys whose names are at the top. If there isn't an easy stat column to go by, the vote on reputation or where the team finished in the standings. It's a useless system, so getting upset by useless selections is pointless - it's the most likely outcome when the system is useless. Could be worse, they could let Rider fans vote.
Noeller Posted November 12, 2014 Author Report Posted November 12, 2014 Bomber players quite vocal on Twitter about the snubs...love it.

Played in the east for 14 (ish) games and was listed as a west division all-star... essentially based on all the stats he compiled in the east...
DR. CFL Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 Grigsby' gets it by default as a part from Whitaker no other RB in the east played that much. Bomber kicker maybe could have gone either way. Other wise picks seen pretty reflective of abilities. Not sure what other Bomberplayers have much to argue about.
17to85 Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 Bomber players quite vocal on Twitter about the snubs...love it. damned shame the season is over for them and they can't give a giant **** you in the post season. Damned shame.

Not on Twitter, post some examples??? check the feed next to the forum. Nick Moore, Romby and some others all pretty worked up about Arugala, Leggett, Randle and others being snubbed...
Fatty Liver Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 Grigsby over Steele? Obviously talent isn't a requirement to become an Easter All-Star. These awards and being named as the "CFL Greatest Athlete" will look splendid in Grigsby's portfolio when he's looking for work next year. Of course none of this will swell Nic's head.
DR. CFL Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 It is about who played....how do you think January made it so often in the East....all the other teams had a serious issue with keeping tackles upright.
johnzo Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 Congrats to Denmark for another season of quietly being fantastic once again. Yeah, he put up 1000 yards while being the only really consistent threat on the Bombers. Shades of Terrance Edwards there.

Goalie Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 Proves once again that these divisional all star nominations are pretty much a joke. I don't really care but to ignore randle and even Lirim here is mind boggling. Mo Leg too but T brack is pretty good but.. thought Mo Leg might have been better.
rebusrankin Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 Lirim and Randle deserved nominations. Leggett too. James and Brandon Blue&Gold 2

Love Mo Legg as a playmaker but don't like his tackling. He got beat a number of times going one-on-one against the ball carrier and quite a few of his tackles got shrugged off. I think Brack is a much more reliable tackler.

The biggest difference between Leggett and Brackenridge is experience- a couple of years under the belt makes a world of difference in adapting to the CFL game, but either way, Brackenridge is a talent.
