gbill2004 Posted November 14, 2014 Author Report Posted November 14, 2014 Wow 3 years! @PentonKirk: The #Bombers have signed kick returner Troy Stoudermire to a three-year contract. Blue-urns 1

mbrg Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 WHY AREN'T THE BOMBERS DOING ANYTHING!?!?!? Welll....uhhhhh...thas't something..... other than this...
mbrg Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Sorry. I really just had two points to make. 1) Wooo 2) Hooo
gbill2004 Posted November 14, 2014 Author Report Posted November 14, 2014 Three years nice Penton says 3, but Stoudermire wasn't on any free agent lists, so I wonder if it's really a 2 year extension, if he was already under contract for next season.

It's all semantics, but it'll essentially be them tearing up the existing contract he had for next year, rewriting it and adding 2 years. More money next year in return for an extra two years of commitment by the player. Blue-urns 1

Pete Catan's Ghost Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Terrific start to the off season
Tehedra Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 In an age where everyone wants 1 year contracts now; this is great news for a star returner like Stoudimiere hope he keeps up the excellent return work next year!
MOBomberFan Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Wooohooo! Stoudermire was one of our best finds this season, and he didn't even attend TC.
gbill2004 Posted November 14, 2014 Author Report Posted November 14, 2014 He's only 24 years old now so we are getting his prime speed years.
Jpan85 Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Hopefully they can sit down with Willy and work a extension out with him. Sometimes getting these extensions done just as important as getting guys resign. Allows for more cost certainty going into the future. Mr. Perfect 1
Mr Dee Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Many happy returns! Blue-urns and FrostyWinnipeg 2
TBURGESS Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Good move. Stoudemire's the best returner we've had in a long time. Blue-urns, MOBomberFan and the watcher 3
Rich Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Hopefully they can sit down with Willy and work a extension out with him. Sometimes getting these extensions done just as important as getting guys resign. Allows for more cost certainty going into the future. Any idea what his current contract term is? I know he was signed to a contract last off season when we traded for him, but no idea what the term was. I assume it was at least 2 years and that he is under contract for next year.
Dirty30 Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Hopefully they use him more on either the defence or offence as well
B-F-F-C Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Yes, I'd love to see him used in a more mainstream role on either defence or offence. I dont necessarily see him as an every down kind of player but he could be used more often to take advantage of his speed. B-F-F-C 1
Stickem Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 The green guys are kicking their arse all over the place for letting Stoud get away. Their return game sux and more than one person in riderville has questioned that move. Nice to get Troy under contract for the foreseeable future. Denmark now Stoudermire ...keep em coming Walters.
gbill2004 Posted November 14, 2014 Author Report Posted November 14, 2014 Many happy returns! And hopefully happy endings...with a TD that is
Mike Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Willy has a contract that goes until the end of next season currently.
