Blueandgold Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 Nice to see. The only disappointing thing is how long it took us to give him a chance.
Logan007 Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 WOOOO!!!!! Yeah! Cotton backer from the very beginning right here. MOBomberFan 1

mbrg Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 Insert expression of joy here. Insert tongue-in-cheek comment about how Walters isn't doing anything here.
KptKrunch Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 Step in the right direction. Lets hope he can stay healthy next year
gbill2004 Posted November 18, 2014 Author Report Posted November 18, 2014 Paris Cotton runs angry. That's what I like to see in my teams RB.
Mr Dee Posted November 19, 2014 Report Posted November 19, 2014 …………Stoudermire ………….Cotton It's a start. SPuDS, Mark F, johnzo and 3 others 6
Fatty Liver Posted November 19, 2014 Report Posted November 19, 2014 Great news! That's half of the equation, have the scat back now Walters needs to go out and find a power back for short yardage. Pretty sure they will be able to find him playing in the CFL for another team so no need to bring in a CFL newbie as there's likely to be a number of proven RB's cut in the off-season due to over stock on a few teams. Doubt Sask. cuts Allen but Miller might be available. Stamps went through about six this year due to injury so doubt they will hold on to all of them, Martell Mallett was a force in the games that he played.

Hopefully he'll still be a part of the team come training camp to get a good idea of what they have in him. Mr Dee 1

IC Khari Posted November 19, 2014 Report Posted November 19, 2014 This is one of the best moves Walters could make ...
SPuDS Posted November 19, 2014 Report Posted November 19, 2014 …………Stoudermire ………….Cotton It's a start. Ya didnt wanna put Willy, Randle and Leggett on there?

Blueandgold Posted November 19, 2014 Report Posted November 19, 2014 Need a few more rotation worthy non imports on D so we can roster a power back as a DI A guy like Messam would do the trick.

If we could figure out the two games in the season he'd be worth a roster spot it might be worthwhile. Noeller, blitzmore and Brandon Blue&Gold 3

As opposed to using a DI spot on a backup running back who will only touch the ball a few times a game?

If that guy can play special teams well I'd rather use a DI there than have Messam do the same and be useless when he isn't getting the ball (otherwise on offense and special teams)/
Fatty Liver Posted November 21, 2014 Report Posted November 21, 2014 Messam was also playing TE for Sask. and made some nice catches. Word on Riderfans is that he had a banged up shoulder in the later part of the season.
