Jacquie Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 Nice 3rd jerseys for the Lions. Ugly injury for Lewis.
Jpan85 Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 Love the Lions uni. Personally a big fan of the matte finish on the helmet
Captain Blue Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 The uniforms were kind of neat but I found them just overly dark. The numbers are far less prominent with just an orange outline separating the black of the jersey.
iso_55 Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 Bet the play by play announcers loved those jerseys.
TBURGESS Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 The numbers and names are a little hard to read, but those are some nice uniforms. If I were a Lions fan, I'd have to get me one of those slate grey jerseys.
17to85 Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 ugh I hated the jerseys the Lions had on. The matte helmets were good but the all black with a wee little bit of bright orange are no good.
iso_55 Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 Stamps lost their leader Nik Lewis. They've overcome injuries to all of their starters who are out to remain winners but this? This could be the killer for that team.
JuranBoldenRules Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 Jerseys are UFL quality. Crap for a league with an actual history, especially for a team celebrating their 60th season. Paw prints should be avoided IMO. Hufnagel made some bad calls. Giving up a safety with 2 mins left to make it a 4 point deficit was the end of the game. Needs to have some faith in his special teams and defence. Also keep wondering why his 3rd best QB is starting. Dunigan tore a pretty good strip off Glenn for his wasting of about 30 seconds of clock on the last Stamps drive in the hurry-up.
Fraser Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 if glenn looks bad with Calgary imagine him in wpg
17to85 Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 plus relying on the factor late in the game isn't the best decision to make either.
iso_55 Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 I never would have given up 2 points in that situation to then be down by 4. If the defense can't stop them then they'd lose anyway. But if they would have stopped the Lions then there's a chance to win with Paredes. That was the wrong time to do that. And for the record, Huff doesn't call the plays. So, he didn't make any bad play calls. But he would have okayed the safety.
Mark H. Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 That's the kind of thing you could always appreciate about Dave Ritchie. First and foremost, he DID NOT give up any points.]
pigseye Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 Kevin Glenn still doesn't know how to manage the clock after all these years, unreal. Too bad about Geronimo, but bones heal, no biggie.
iso_55 Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 Kevin Glenn still doesn't know how to manage the clock after all these years, unreal. Too bad about Geronimo, but bones heal, no biggie. Better a bone than ligaments, but.... sure.
Brandon Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 Just watched the game and Glenn looked OK, in the third quarter he had four passes in a row that his receivers flat out dropped.... I think he played good and doubt that Calgary will trade him
