Mr Dee Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 Count me in with Nic. He would make quite the impact with the young guys.
Noeller Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 I'd LOVE to get Nik Lewis. ...because you need tips on how to gain weight so you can go on worker's comp?? #YourWindowToWeightGain #JustEmptyVitamins
Jpan85 Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 Me too its the type of the guy you need in you locker room if you want to take the next step. He is one of the best leaders in the league. Be the underneath guy who can free up Denmark and Moore over the top.
Mike Posted February 9, 2015 Author Report Posted February 9, 2015 I'd LOVE to get Nik Lewis. ...because you need tips on how to gain weight so you can go on worker's comp?? #YourWindowToWeightGain #JustEmptyVitamins Because he's a locker room leader, an experienced veteran that could be a bridge solution while our scouts dig up a receiver and get him some experience, not to mention he's pretty much exactly the type of receiver we need? sweep the leg and Jpan85 2
Noeller Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 *fart noise* ....no thanks. Maybe it's too much time living around Calgary and having to hear about this guy everywhere you go. This is not someone I want on the Bombers. Really hoping he'd just retire. Milt doesn't like the guy, I don't like the guy...
Armchair GM Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 Purportedly, Korey Banks was the same type of player in February 2014. Locker room leader, experienced veteran, bridge solution... The guy's made his living over the middle taking hits and breaking tackles... that takes a toll on a guy's body over time. I'm not sure WPG's rebuild is even the right place for him, but even if we were, I'd pass. A lot of injury risk that won't come at a cheap enough price.
gbill2004 Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 Lewis is only 32. I thought he was older.
sweep the leg Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 He's a better, American version of Corey Watson. My life won't change based on whether we do or don't sign him, but he wouldn't be a terrible add. He has a more unique skill set than Ernest Jackson does. That's a type of receiver that we should be able to scout.
M.O.A.B. Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 If we can only bring one of E.Jackson and Nik Lewis, I would rather have E.Jackson. But if he will come in cheap and Walters can afford to get both I would gladly have Nik Lewis on my team.
Goalie Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 I guess Lewis is quite the motivator and quite the team player, an experienced leader like that might be a good thing when you think about it. Maybe if he didn't demand a ton of upfront money, i'd seriously consider him.

Jpan85 Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 Herb Zurkowsky @HerbZurkowsky1 5s5 seconds ago #Breaking. #Als' cornerback Geoff Tisdale just informed me he has faxed in his signature on a new one-year contract, avoiding free agency.
Goalie Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 Geoff Tisdale off the market according to Herb in Montreal. Signed a 1 year deal with the ALS.
gbill2004 Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 No thanks to Nik Lewis. Agreed. I don't have enough whiskey in my house to talk myself into believing that Nik Lewis makes us a better team. I guess I assumed we'd be looking at him as a receiver. If its as a linebacker or offensive lineman, I'd have to re-think that.
Brandon Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 Yes to Nik Lewis purely as a veteran leader..I'd rather him then Romby Bryant coming back. ALuCsRED 1

TBURGESS Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 Nik Lewis of 2 years ago and any time before that, you bet. Nik Lewis of last year when he couldn't even keep his starting job... No thanks. I'd much rather go with a young up and comer as our 3rd import receiver.
gbill2004 Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 @ArashMadani: BREAKING: Expect the #BCLions to announce a contract extension by noon Tuesday for Solomon Elimimian, the #CFL MVP. @ArashMadani: Solomon Elimimian’s contract expires at noon ET Tuesday. He would have been a free agent, except the Lions and #CFL did not make that public
Mike Posted February 10, 2015 Author Report Posted February 10, 2015 How is that even possible? And how would it be an extension if his contract is over tomorrow? Something isn't right.

gbill2004 Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 How is that even possible? And how would it be an extension if his contract is over tomorrow? Something isn't right.Maybe there was a clause in his contract where if he won MOP he became a free agent? Either way this likely drains a lot of BCs free agent money.
