I went to the game... Perrault, Frolik, ,Scheifele , Little all played really hard on offense and Chiarot looked very comfortable out on D. Byfuglien was decent but still has many moments where he was lazy, same goes for Kane.

As I said in the other thread Wheeler was just awful... was getting the puck picked from him for most of the game and really could not do anything at all on the ice. Something must be up with him because he seemed so flat.

He got dropped by a couple big punches he didn't see coming so it's quite possible he's got a concussion (or is at least showing symptoms so they want to be cautious.)

Apparently its an injured hand from taking a shot (or at least thats their story).  Not at practice today.  If he's out for any length of time, I'd strongly suspect Chevy swings a trade by the freeze tomorrow.  He had previously wanted a depth D in the 7-8 range but might need to look for a 5-6 D.  On the other hand, you dont want to part with much for a short term replacement.  When everyone is healthy we already have too many D.  Perhaps he can swing a trade for an AHL Dman to re-stock the Caps and call someone else up (and keep Chairot)

I'd suspect we'd just call another guy from the ice caps up. Don't see them making a trade by tomorrow.

It will depend on Stuarts condition.  If he's out for several games, we're in tough.  Chevy generally tries not to hurt the Caps with call ups too.  Thats why I could see them calling someone up and instead of trading for an NHL D man (and then having too many bodies in a month), trade for an AHL D man.

I'd suspect they call up Melchiori if need be but it leaves St John's thin.
