The Unknown Poster Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 Hutch statys his third consecutive game. Kane out with injury. This might sound crazy but should the jets consider Dany Heatly on waivers?
Stickem Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 Maurice says, when asked about the goaltending rotation today, that we have a no 1 EVERY game.. This guy is one smart cookie and a helluva good coach.
Atomic Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 Hutch statys his third consecutive game. Kane out with injury. This might sound crazy but should the jets consider Dany Heatly on waivers? I think I'd rather stick with Galiardi and Cormier for now. Interesting thought, though. However Heatley has only played 6 games this season and has zero points. At 33... how is his fitness level? Can he keep up with the Jets? More importantly, where is his head at right now? Don't need to bring in a guy that is going to be toxic in the room. But it is interesting... he would almost certainly bring more scoring than Thorburn or Galiardi. But as a third line winger, his two-way play would be just as important. Kane is good defensively and also kills penalties... something Galiardi can also do well that Heatley probably can't.
The Unknown Poster Posted December 29, 2014 Author Report Posted December 29, 2014 And he's only a million bucks. It will be interesting to see how chevy handles the Kane injury. If we stand pat and the jets slide it will be looked upon as a cheap team that squandered the playoffs because they were afraid to make a move. On the other hand, they played well without Kane previously. But man this is tough. It makes the jets needs a top six player, essentially a rental. Derek Roy cleared waivers so he's available.
Brandon Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 I don't see Heatley fitting in at all.. Roy has a better chance. blitzmore 1
The Unknown Poster Posted December 29, 2014 Author Report Posted December 29, 2014 You could be right. Roy could be the best bet right now. $1 million. UFA after this season. Shoots left. Go get him Chevy.
The Unknown Poster Posted December 29, 2014 Author Report Posted December 29, 2014 Magnus Paajarvi is currently on waivers so he's a possibility too. Left wing. 23 years old. Big kid. RFA after this season. $1.4 million.
sweep the leg Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 Roy isn't very good anymore, but he's a lot better than Heatley. He's finished as an NHL level player. I'd rather see Galiardi in the lineup.
FrostyWinnipeg Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 Kane out with injury. This might sound crazy but should the jets consider Dany Heatly on waivers? Jets will pick up anyone on waivers at this point. LOL!
FrostyWinnipeg Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 Maurice says, when asked about the goaltending rotation today, that we have a no 1 EVERY game.. This guy is one smart cookie and a helluva good coach. Even if his comment about rotating goaltenders ended after 1 game Might as well give Hutch another win and another nail in the Pav coffin.
Mike Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 Of all the wingers on waivers right now, I think the guy I'd want is Paajarvi FrostyWinnipeg and The Unknown Poster 2
FrostyWinnipeg Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 Of all the wingers on waivers right now, I think the guy I'd want is Paajarvi Derek Roy anyone?
Goalie Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 Roy sucks so bad he cleared waivers. This isn't the same Roy from 5 years ago.
IC Khari Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 The Oilers might be looking at Magnus Paajarvi so if we want him we'd better move quick ... as for Heatley, his last experience with this team (franchise) wasn't that great
The Unknown Poster Posted December 29, 2014 Author Report Posted December 29, 2014 Of all the wingers on waivers right now, I think the guy I'd want is Paajarvi Me too.
blitzmore Posted December 29, 2014 Report Posted December 29, 2014 Hutch statys his third consecutive game. Kane out with injury. This might sound crazy but should the jets consider Dany Heatly on waivers? It is crazy....Heatley is slow and washed up....not the player he used to be that's for sure.
Jpan85 Posted December 30, 2014 Report Posted December 30, 2014 Based on who they called up they want a 200 ft guy not a offensive guy. If they can find a good defensive forward with a little pop they should consider it.
sweep the leg Posted December 30, 2014 Report Posted December 30, 2014 Roy's off the market. Sent to the Oilers for Arcobello.
Atomic Posted December 30, 2014 Report Posted December 30, 2014 Who is doing play-by-play tonight? Brian Munz. He used to do play by play on the radio but now he does color. I think Dennis Beyak is busy with the world juniors.
FrostyWinnipeg Posted December 30, 2014 Report Posted December 30, 2014 Dunno if been discussed but I h8 Paul E. doing hockey. Looks like we back to Pav. Could not believe the doofus at TSN Radio who said if the Jets beat Minn the season is over for them.
The Unknown Poster Posted December 30, 2014 Author Report Posted December 30, 2014 It would have buried the wild actually. Not insurmountable but pretty bad.
Floyd Posted December 30, 2014 Report Posted December 30, 2014 Would have been a nice one to have... jets went to sleep in the 2nd. Harrison is really not very good, neither is Pardy. We need a couple D back... soon. Turns out replacing Kane with Galiardi turns our 3rd line into a 4th line... bummer. Still, Jets just about pulled that one out.
