Jpan85 Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 #Bombers pleased to announce the signing of fullback/long snapper @TimCronk. Canadian, four year CFL vet. — Darren Cameron (@Darren_Cameron) January 7, 2015
BomberBall Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 Kirk Penton @PentonKirk #Bombers quickly add a long snapper to replace Ian Wild, signing Tim Cronk. #CFL
M.O.A.B. Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 What does this say to Fitzgerald future with the Bombers?
mbrg Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 #Bombers pleased to announce the signing of fullback/long snapper @TimCronk. Canadian, four year CFL vet. — Darren Cameron (@Darren_Cameron) January 7, 2015 Love the name. CRONK. CRONK!!! What does this say to Fitzgerald future with the Bombers? That he has to compete for his job in training camp. Which he would have had to do anyways.
Noeller Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 Fitzy has a million uses. Guys like that? They'll play anywhere on the field and they'll try harder than most of the guys coming outta the US anyhow... Mr Dee 1
Mr Dee Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 #Bombers pleased to announce the signing of fullback/long snapper @TimCronk. Canadian, four year CFL vet. — Darren Cameron (@Darren_Cameron) January 7, 2015 Love the name. CRONK. CRONK!!! Have to agree. It's been far too long since we had a Cronk to talk about. It's all about the Cronk. Another quick signing that is keeping the collective fan base's head spinning. And no talk of 195K. Sweet. Sweet Cronk!
Noeller Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 Well, he was a character in Emperor's New Groove, and I'm not sure if that was an actual spin off, or if someone just did a JPG up for some reason. I did a Google Image search because I knew I'd heard the name before, but couldn't remember when or where....
Blueandgold Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 What does this say to Fitzgerald future with the Bombers? Do you not remember how bad our long snapping was when Ian Wild was injured?
IC Khari Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 What does this say to Fitzgerald future with the Bombers? Do you not remember how bad our long snapping was when Ian Wild was injured? I remember how bad our linebacking was when he was injured as well
JuranBoldenRules Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 It says that Fitzgerald can't snap well enough to do it in the CFL, which we've known since his first training camp. Cronk had a lot of struggles in his last snapping stint in BC. I hope we keep some other options on speed dial in case he isn't past them. JuranBoldenRules 1
M.O.A.B. Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 What does this say to Fitzgerald future with the Bombers? Do you not remember how bad our long snapping was when Ian Wild was injured? I'm not defending Fitzgerald here. I agree that he has bad performance when he took over the LS when Wild was hurt. There are people here who are supporters of Fitzgerald and the question is more directed to them. I'm not sure the Bombers will carry 3 FB on gameday. So my guess he will be cut.
DR. CFL Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 Obviously the need for depth at the long snapping spot is a critical need. They need to load up there.
Noeller Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 Gotta stop being so critical of Fitzy, in terms of offense. Stop thinking of things purely in terms of Offense and Defense. You need the ST demon guys, and Fitzy's a real good one. If nothing else, he's real quality depth.
Floyd Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 Doubt Fitzgerald makes it through training camp... can't long snap and is just not fast enough - would have been a good 6th round pick Would say Briggs and Cornell have better chance at being 'long snapping depth' after Cronk
Stickem Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 Cronk...Bonk....Solid football names and they both were/are Bombers. Good move to secure a long snapper.
ddanger Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 What does this say to Fitzgerald future with the Bombers? Do you not remember how bad our long snapping was when Ian Wild was injured? We absolutely had to do this. Fitzgerald can be a backup long-snapper (maybe ) and can play some tight end.
Goalie Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 Or they draft a guy who does it and can play another spot and Fitz is gone. M.O.A.B. 1
Jacquie Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 Is that a real Disney movie? Yes it is. It was a direct-to-video sequel to Emperor's New Groove. Patrick Warburton did the voice of Kronk in both movies. Noeller 1
Jimmy Pop Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 Is that a real Disney movie? Yes it is. It was a direct-to-video sequel to Emperor's New Groove. Patrick Warburton did the voice of Kronk in both movies. Yeah, that's right. Feels like an Arby's night.
gbill2004 Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 Hopefully this guy plays more like GRONK!

ALuCsRED Posted January 10, 2015 Report Posted January 10, 2015 We can play the New Orleans TD song everytime we go to kick a field goal or punt now. Stand Up and get Cronk! WHO DAT?
