Blueandgold
This is win-win. If he makes it in the NFL, good PR for us, if not, and we've treated him well, he will come back and feel more at home. In any case, good on him. Just like two former Bombers making the two biggest plays to get the Seahawks in the Super Bowl was last weekend! Must have had the right sized balls to accomplish those feats. I'm sure that Matthews & Ryan have perfectly sized balls.

kelownabomberfan
Continuing the trend then, next season Ian Wild cranks into Tom Brady at full speed in overtime, causing a fumble, which he recovers and returns for 80 yards to win Superbowl 50 for the Vikings. Tom stands in the middle of the field with Bill Belichick crying, hands around their deflated balls. I could live with that. bearpants

Noeller
that's a damn shame for Ian, and I certainly take no joy from his unfortunate situation......that said......would sure love to see the guy back in Blue and Gold this summer, after all... DR. CFL
What exactly does" contract fallen apart " mean? You have a contract and have already been released? You sort of had a contract but didn't really have one? Strange wording

You sort of had a contract but didn't really have one? Strange wording Not really strange, but really up for open interpretation. -Contract offered but a tidbit in there that wasn't discussed prior that one party didn't like. -a possible date that the contract was to be sent, passed etc.. GCn20
Could be that Wild hadn't signed it yet and the Steelers changed their mind.
Mike
Could be they just opted to go in another direction after a change of heart. Either way, super unfortunate to hear about Ian. But if this means he ends up back in the CFL, I sure hope he wants to be back here!
mbrg
Could be that Wild hadn't signed it yet and the Steelers changed their mind. Almost certainly is that simple - the Steelers changed their mind. I hope he gets another tryout with another team. He earned it.

Atomic
Maybe **** LeBeau liked Ian Wild and he's not there anymore so the team is looking for different players. Who knows.
GCn20
Well it appears pretty obvious that the Steelers didn't see big upside in him. Hopefully he catches on somewhere else, if not he would look great at WIL for us.

Stickem
Certainly Bomber fans wished Ian all the best but a certain part of them wanted him to remain here. I was one of those. Not a great day for Wild as far as the nfl goes BUT if nothing else shakes out down there...welcome back Ian...
Stickem
Imagine if he signs with the Riders ! They'll be lucky to sign their own fas at present.
Blueandgold
Having Wild back would be huge for us. Throw in Heenan, Bryant and Dressler and I'll be one happy camper. I'm obviously not picky at all and have completely reasonable and realistic expectations .
Goalie
Wild Heenan and Dressler don't seem that far fetched lol. Not serious about Dressler but wouldn't surprise me one bit
Mr. Perfect
Kyle Walters just said on 1290 it now looks after all that the Steelers will sign Ian Wild after pulling the offer off the table. That being said he also acknowledged the team will try to get him back should it turn out things do definitely fall through.
M.O.A.B.
Wild Heenan and Dressler don't seem that far fetched lol. Not serious about Dressler but wouldn't surprise me one bit Wild will be back in Bombers uniform once he gave up on NFL. With a considerable cap space its hard to believe that Walters will not throw a big $$$ to get Heenan Dressler will be a nice addition but I rather have a big physical receiver added since we lost the physicality of Watson. E.Jackson can fill that physicality and much more.
M.O.A.B.
Everyone seems forgetting Chris Williams. I believe he will be a FA also comes Feb 10. Can someone confirm. Thanks.
