zacksown Posted February 5, 2015 Report Posted February 5, 2015 One less kicker to worry about http://www.bluebombers.com/article/renaud-set-to-retire
Fred C Dobbs Posted February 5, 2015 Report Posted February 5, 2015 Very eloquent and classy guy. Good luck to him in his new career. Jimmy Pop, Bigblue204, Jacquie and 1 other 4
Noeller Posted February 5, 2015 Report Posted February 5, 2015 Have always been a big Renaud fan. Glad he can go out on his own terms.
Jacquie Posted February 5, 2015 Report Posted February 5, 2015 I was a Renaud fan too. It's too bad he had that knee injury as he wasn't really the same after that. I wish him the best.
mbrg Posted February 5, 2015 Report Posted February 5, 2015 He's a pretty nice guy. Had a chance to chat with him last week. I suppose this isn't a surprise for anyone who saw Greaves' tweet oopsie last month. Renaud has the unique distinction of being the only good thing Mike Kelly ever did with a Bomber draft pick to improve NI talent. Congrats to him on retiring and the career. Glad to have a quality guy like this make Winnipeg his home.
Atomic Posted February 5, 2015 Report Posted February 5, 2015 Renaud has the unique distinction of being the only good thing Mike Kelly ever did with a Bomber draft pick to improve NI talent. That's true. Even though Kelly had to trade a sixth round pick for a guy the Stamps picked up as a free agent 4 months before.
bearpants Posted February 5, 2015 Report Posted February 5, 2015 Does anyone know if he still has the reno business? Sounds like he's got himself set up nicely for post-retirement... like any smart CFLer would... best of luck to him...
Noeller Posted February 5, 2015 Report Posted February 5, 2015 I just assumed he was living in Bobby C's basement and was going to inherit the "family" business, as the adopted son SPuDS 1
pigseye Posted February 5, 2015 Report Posted February 5, 2015 That's what happens when you get married.......you have to get a real job. Good luck to him.
fan4life Posted February 5, 2015 Report Posted February 5, 2015 Two less #9's in Winnipeg today. At least one leaves with respect of those around him. Mr Dee 1
WildPath Posted February 6, 2015 Report Posted February 6, 2015 I was really a fan of Renaud when he first joined the team. I had never seen a punter pursue his kicks like Renaud and he made a couple of game-changing plays as a result of recovering his own punts or causing chaos getting downfield fast... Wish I still had some video footage of it. Unfortunately, if I recall, his downfield pursuit caused an injury and he never resumed that part of his game. Seemed like a great team player and character guy though. MOBomberFan 1
