BigBlue Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 We have 2 new studs on the O-line, we added some Canadian depth Do we still go after 2 O-lineman with our top 3 picks? What is our new priority with our picks in this deep draft?
MTA Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 Dream Demski Round 1 Oline Round 2 11 Dline B Tennant laval Round 2 15
bryan35 Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 I would still go after olinemen with the top 3 picks. Can never have enough depth at that position. Need to be grooming them for the future. Also there is the injuries that occur throughout the season.
blueingreenland Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 You only go after 1 O-lineman now with one of our top 2 picks. Rich 1
Blueandgold Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 I could see them picking an OL at number 2 then trying to trade back into the first round for Demski.
Floyd Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 Best available at 2 then split 2nds with OL and BPA
BigBlue Posted February 10, 2015 Author Report Posted February 10, 2015 I don't know how much change Walters has left in his purse but if we can yet get LB CURRAN from Edmonton that would have a big impact on our roster planning.
JuranBoldenRules Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 This draft is going to be hell in terms of the NFL issue. Would almost rather pick later in the first round.
coach17 Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 Best available talent that is not going to nfl. Stockpile Canadian talent at whatever position works. Injuries occur and if overstocked can always trade for an immediate need.
Blueandgold Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 A guy like Nik Demski who is almost certain to play in the CFL next year might be a more appealing pick at number two than someone who we could lose to the NFL as an UDFA.
Noeller Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 For what it's worth, Walby was tweeting today that the Bombers should take Demski. Not disagreeing with those saying it, but I've got a hard time with not taking an OL with that #2 overall...
Mr Dee Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 For what it's worth, Walby was tweeting today that the Bombers should take Demski. Not disagreeing with those saying it, but I've got a hard time with not taking an OL with that #2 overall... We're this close to repairing the damage done from past years…and letting O-Linemen walk, to arriving at a full house of capable? personnel. So now, we have to look to the future and drafting with the future in mind. The O-Line is a different entity onto itself and thank goodness Walters recognizes that. I like Demski - but I love the #2 position…for this year. They had a plan for free agency and now, with these new pieces in place, and possibly more, they'll formulate an attack plan for the draft. I'm looking forward to seeing them enact that plan.

I read this twice, and I still have no idea what exactly you're trying to say...it feels like you used a whole lotta words, and some weird Left-Justify formatting to say a lot of nothing. Ha ha...what exactly was your point? Jaxon 1

The Unknown Poster Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 Seems right up Walters alley to pick Demski
Goalie Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 Demski now at 2. OL at 11 and maybe 15 but maybe later even. As in OL at 11 but maybe a lb or dl at 15
Mark F Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 I think MR. Dee meant get an o lineman. I can tell by the left justify he used. I am hoping for an O lineman. Noeller 1
Dirty30 Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 I would take Demski at 2 and Varga at 11 or 15. I think he'll be worth the wait.

Mark F Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 Somebody on another thread, and Troy Westwood this A.M mentioned that Dile (sp) was injured a lot in the last two seasons Which means they need to get another O lineman in the draft. Mr Dee 1
