Mike Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 super happy for the guy. I know he's busted his ass to get ready to play again. SPuDS and Noeller 2
Noeller Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 What did Swiston ever do to have people **** on him? Just a shame he never worked out for us... SPuDS and Mike 2
Brandon Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 Just because a player doesn't work out doesn't mean he's absolute garbage. SPuDS 1
Noeller Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 They've got a damn good OL coach over there. If they can't turn him into something, then likely not meant to be, but count me as one hoping he works out great for them!

Wouldn't that make it a bit of a reunion for them? JohnnyOnTheSpot 1
Captain Blue Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 I really hope Swiston does well. Kid worked really hard here.

It's still one of the best in the CFL. And great for Swiston. It's a move for depth so good on the guy.

bigg jay Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 When you can't recruit, you buy. I hope somebody tweeted that to Cornish & Federkeil. Shanks 1
17to85 Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 Wasn't the biggest problem for Swiston the fact that he kept getting hurt? I don't see why anyone would hate on the guy for his time here.
Geebrr Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 When you can't recruit, you buy. I hope somebody tweeted that to Cornish & Federkeil. I sure hope so.

Shanks Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 When you can't recruit, you buy.. Yup. That's what was said about us when we signed Stanley Bryant by Calgary fans and Cornish.
bearpants Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 When you can't recruit, you buy.. Yup. That's what was said about us when we signed Stanley Bryant by Calgary fans and Cornish. Yeah, that's the joke... (it was actually said by Federkeil)
Mike Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 Federkeil cracks me up. He's giving Calgary an amazing deal on his salary because he's got all that NFL pension money rolling in. Must be nice for Hufnagel to operate within a budget where he's got an all-star Canadian RT for the price that most teams have to pay special teamers. SPuDS 1
Westy Sucks Posted February 13, 2015 Report Posted February 13, 2015 Wasn't the biggest problem for Swiston the fact that he kept getting hurt? I don't see why anyone would hate on the guy for his time here. Maybe his mobility/foot work? Who's hating on him though? No one so far in this thread. Really like his size.
DR. CFL Posted February 13, 2015 Report Posted February 13, 2015 Someone please explain the difference between Swiston and Pencer?
Atomic Posted February 13, 2015 Report Posted February 13, 2015 Someone please explain the difference between Swiston and Pencer? Swiston had a lot more success at the collegiate level (Canada West lineman of the year, Canada West all star, CIS second team all star) but has had about the same amount of professional success as Tyson Pencer, which is to say not much. But at least he is still employed.
DR. CFL Posted February 13, 2015 Report Posted February 13, 2015 Not sure being a PR body for practice qualifies as employed.
Atomic Posted February 13, 2015 Report Posted February 13, 2015 Not sure being a PR body for practice qualifies as employed. It does.
