Rich Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 Found this to be a very interesting read in dissecting the difference in Pavelec’s and Hutchinson’s games right now with the Jets, and how the rotation they are currently using allows Flaherty to work with both goalies, but more specifically adding a more technical approach to Pavelec’s game where he has mostly only relied on his athleticism in the past. http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=752985&navid=nhl:topheads&cmpid=nhl-twt The more you learn about how this organization was run in Atlanta makes you appreciate what True North and Chevy are building here.
Ducky Posted February 13, 2015 Report Posted February 13, 2015 Go back and see how many draft picks the Thrasher s didn't have....pathetic. Pavs better get a move on because Helebuyck is playing well on the farm.

Or is it the other other guy
Rich Posted February 13, 2015 Author Report Posted February 13, 2015 Kasdorf was traded to Buffalo. Winnipeg kid who was a late draft pick. With our other goalie prospects coming up, Kasdorf really had no shot here, and juries out on what he becomes in his career. Hockey's Future rates him as a 7 D. The 7 means they rate his potential (ceiling) as a journeyman #1 Goalie. The D is the likelihood of him hitting that potential. So, not very high. For comparison (Other Jets goalies / prospects), Eric Comrie - 7.5 D Hellebuyck - 7.5 D Hutchinson - 7.0 D Pavelec - Was an 8 A
Brandon Posted February 13, 2015 Report Posted February 13, 2015 Its the other guy, Jamie Phillips look at his hockey db.com playimg lights out.

Rarely are they ever correct.

Goalie Posted February 13, 2015 Report Posted February 13, 2015 To be honest, Rinne is 7-0 in his career vs the Jets, so we could start a brick wall against Nashville and would still lose if Rinne played. He's just got our number. He's the best goalie in the league and it's pretty obvious. Got some luck too tho, hit a couple posts. I'll say this much, If Rinne wasn't playing, we win that game easily. 3rd goal on Pav was kind of weak but again, the first 2 weren't and we could only score 1 so we lose anyways. Also need to keep in mind that Myers was injured on that goal too so it was essentially 5 on 4 for Nashville too.
