Mike Posted August 20, 2013 Report Posted August 20, 2013 I don't even know how to react to this. We signed a guy who has played in the CFL before?! Noeller 1
Mr. Perfect Posted August 20, 2013 Report Posted August 20, 2013 Is this type of move against the rules?
Bomber_fanaddict Posted August 20, 2013 Report Posted August 20, 2013 I demand to know who is making these moves signing aging vets!
Mike Posted August 20, 2013 Report Posted August 20, 2013 Veteran what does that mean Is this type of move against the rules?
Bomber_fanaddict Posted August 20, 2013 Report Posted August 20, 2013 In all honesty I like this move. Even if it's just to rotate some guys around in the D all the better. Now get that contract signed with Vega!
Mr. Perfect Posted August 20, 2013 Report Posted August 20, 2013 Admittedly, I don't recall a whole lot about Bo Smith, but a friend of mine, a season ticket holder for the Ti-Cats was raving about him to me on Twitter a few moments ago to me. Hopefully he can pick up where he left off and push the guys that are struggling.
road griller Posted August 20, 2013 Report Posted August 20, 2013 Wonder what joe thinks about this??????
AKAChip Posted August 20, 2013 Report Posted August 20, 2013 I don't hate this but on the other hand, it's been so long since we've made a move like this that I don't know what's good and what's bad anymore. I always thought Bo Smith sucked but at least he has some size and it's not as if our DBs are playing well by any stretch of the imagination.
BBlink Posted August 20, 2013 Report Posted August 20, 2013 Never thought I'd see the day where we go after an ex-Ticat DB. How low have we sunk? Not saying it's a bad move but...
kelownabomberfan Posted August 20, 2013 Report Posted August 20, 2013 There was a time where I would have said that we shouldn't sign guys that were on crappy defences, but the fact is that there are no crappier defences out there anymore. Bo knows losing at least, so he should fit right in.
Mike Posted August 20, 2013 Report Posted August 20, 2013 Wonder why Hamilton cut him in may? One of those things where the level of play didn't match the contract. He's still an okay player, just not at the price tag Hamilton had for him.

Not saying it's a bad move but... that was my exact reaction, we signed a guy that Hamilton didn't want in their secondary to help ours? How far have we fallen?

Atomic Posted August 20, 2013 Report Posted August 20, 2013 Apparently he's getting some reps at Safety. Wonder where we would slot in an extra Canadian if that were to be the case.
Jpan85 Posted August 20, 2013 Report Posted August 20, 2013 Apparently he's getting some reps at Safety. Wonder where we would slot in an extra Canadian if that were to be the case. Could start 3 Canadians at receiver when Watson comes back

Could start 3 Canadians at receiver when Watson comes back Swiston at tackle instead of the human turnstyle Boatman?
do or die Posted August 20, 2013 Report Posted August 20, 2013 Bo is a good athlete who can really bring the wood. But as a boundary HB, in man coverage ... was burned repeatedly in Hamilton (particularly by Edwards). Despite my trepidations, we do have some guys in the secondary, who need to be pushed. Thinking that Bo might be an interesting concept at S, if he still has enough speed......Cauchy is doing zippo. Wouldn't hurt to get some fear factor, back there..... Noeller and Jethro 2
pigseye Posted August 20, 2013 Report Posted August 20, 2013 Zontar is going to wet himself when he hears this. Not the FA agent signing I was hoping for but at this point anything will do.
Mr Dee Posted August 20, 2013 Report Posted August 20, 2013 Not the FA agent signing I was hoping for but at this point anything will do. Stay tuned then,,, "Bringing in CFL vets at this point in the season wasn't always the Bombers' usual modus operandi, Burke agreed -- but hinted that wasn't for lack of desire. "That was someone else's philosophy," he said, likely a nod to departed GM Joe Mack. Now, Burke said, Bombers brass share a more consistent philosophy on how the team should be built."
