IC Khari Posted March 4, 2015 Report Posted March 4, 2015 I like this set up (Ottawa back to back nights) but in the past this has been a perfect trap game for the Jets. No longer, this team is much better than any team we saw in the past three seasons. We win this and go to 78 points!
The Unknown Poster Posted March 4, 2015 Report Posted March 4, 2015 I've seen speculation that Pavs would start which would surprise me
Blue-urns Posted March 4, 2015 Report Posted March 4, 2015 I've seen speculation that Pavs would start which would surprise me God, I hope this isn't the case. Talk about a momentum killer. Pavs is 5-9 in his career vs. Ottawa, with a 3.27 GAA and a .905 SV%. Don't fix what isn't broken. Start Hutch and continue to ride him like Minnesota's been doing with Dubnyk.
Rich Posted March 4, 2015 Report Posted March 4, 2015 Early #NHLJets rushes: Ladd-Little-Frolik, Tlusty-Scheifele-Stafford, Stempniak-Lowry-Wheeler, Thorburn-Slater-Peluso — Ken Wiebe (@WiebeSunSports) March 4, 2015 #NHLJets D pairs: Harrison-Byfuglien, Enstrom-Myers, Stuart-Trouba and Pardy-Postma looks like the extra pair of D, Galiardi the extra F — Ken Wiebe (@WiebeSunSports) March 4, 2015 Haven't seen any tweets on starging goalie yet.
BomberBall Posted March 4, 2015 Report Posted March 4, 2015 #NHLJets Michael Hutchinson looks to be getting his 5th start in a row tonight & will start vs. #Sens From CJOB
sweep the leg Posted March 4, 2015 Report Posted March 4, 2015 I've seen speculation that Pavs would start which would surprise me God, I hope this isn't the case. Talk about a momentum killer. Pavs is 5-9 in his career vs. Ottawa, with a 3.27 GAA and a .905 SV%. To be fair, he has numbers like that against most of the other teams too...
Jacquie Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 I miss Beyak. Randorf makes the game seem boring as hell.
Goalie Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 Sportsnet west became sportsnet Ottawa now. OTTAWA this that etc. Such crap announcing FrostyWinnipeg 1
Goalie Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 Really not a fan of games on Sportsnet. Buff done now too. Looked like a shoulder
FrostyWinnipeg Posted March 5, 2015 Author Report Posted March 5, 2015 Frolik, Myers best of a bad lot. Stempy not too bad. Whither Tlusty.
BomberBall Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 Frolik, Myers best of a bad lot. Stempy not too bad. Whither Tlusty.Bad lot? Don't think they played badly, outside of a few minutes in the 2nd.Out hit them, out shot them by a large margin and won the face off battle. Bad result, obviously, but not really a bad game... Just couldn't finish on their opportunities.
Goalie Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 Not bad tho. Jets Dominated. Ran in to a hot goalie
FrostyWinnipeg Posted March 5, 2015 Author Report Posted March 5, 2015 What happened to buff He went into a corner with some guy, nothing that said OOOOH and next think u know his right arm is hanging.
Goalie Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 Separated shoulder maybe Jets owned the sens tho. Props to Hammond. He stood on his head
IC Khari Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 How last night went down is punishment for trading Klingberg FrostyWinnipeg 1
voodoochylde Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 Even from the start of the game last night, Jets didn't come out with much energy (certainly didn't play with the same intensity as they did their previous game). The intensity and desperation just weren't there (if that makes sense) .. and once they got down, Ottawa did one helluva job taking away space around the front of their net .. they played a great game.
IC Khari Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 Ottawa stole this plain and simple, with a hot goalie and hanging on (kinda like the Dallas game with Pavelec a few months back). The Sens had 3 shots in the 3rd period ...
Goalie Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 Didn't the sens have something like 4 shots on Pavelec all game long, well, since he came in the net half way through the second? Jets dominated. Not gonna jump off bridges or worry about anything, keep playing that way and the Jets will win and win more than they lose. Jaxon and IC Khari 2
IC Khari Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 Gotta keep perspective as a fan, I'd be quite satisfied if the Jets dominated the rest of the games like that. The breaks will come and they'll pop some of those chances. Last night they faced a guy who, while playing well in Goal, also had a horseshoe up his butt and doesn't know the difference between Alfred E. Newman and the Hamburglar.
Goalie Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 They also shot the puck directly at it most times, he maybe made 3 or 4 really good saves, the rest were easy ones.
Mark F Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 There seems to be real parity in the NHL. There are no easy wins, for any team. Not even the top teams This makes every game more interesting. IC Khari 1
