Ducky Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 In no order: Stafford?-Scheifele-Wheeler Ladd-Little-Perrault Frolik?-Lowry-Stempniak? Thorbs(Ehlers?)-O'Dell-Armia Buff-Chiarot Myers-Enstrom Trouba-Morrissey Pavelec-Hutchinson Stuart, Peluso and Thorbs/Ehlers as hanger arounders...
sweep the leg Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 I hope they don't even consider play Ehlers on the 4th line next year. If he can't crack the top 9 send him back. FrostyWinnipeg and Goalie 2
Goalie Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 Staff Scheif Wheeler Ladd Little Frolik Ehlers Lowry Perreault STEmp O'Dell Thorburn Maurice also recently said they might be younger next year so older guys like slater stemp Pardy Harrison may not be in the plans
Goalie Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 MYERS Enstrom Trouba Stuart Buff Morrissey Chiarot as 7th
Blue and Goldfish Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 Stafford - Scheifele - Wheeler Ladd - Little - Perreault Ehlers - Lowry - Frolik Stempniak - O'Dell - Thorburn O'Dell depends on if he gets signed and if Copp signs this summer. Copp might be able to make the jump. Not a for sure but a possibility. If Stafford and/or Frolik don't sign, put Burmistrov somewhere in that lineup. If they both sign with term, then say goodbye to Burmi this summer, unless he wants to sign for < 1.5 mill, then put him at the 4C. Enstrom - Myers Chiarot - Byfuglien Morrissey - Trouba This is what I wish but likely Stuart will be in there over Chiarot or Morrissey depending on how well Morrissey shows at camp this year. Hutchinson and Pavelec to start the year. Hellebuyck will hopefully be given a decent chance though. I wonder though, if Pavs plays well to end the year and playoffs, could we trade him for something and then let Hutch and Hellebuyck take the reins. Kind of a gamble to go in with a sophomore and a rookie but i think that would look nice.
Mike Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 Realistically? Stafford - Scheifele - Wheeler Ladd - Little - Perreault Ehlers - Lowry - Armia/Burmistrov Thorburn - O'Dell - Stempniak/free agent Enstrom - Myers Morrissey/Chiarot - Byfuglien Stuart - Trouba I don't see how on earth we keep Stafford AND Frolik.
Jpan85 Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 Morrissey will go to AHL unless he absolutely dazzles them at camp. sweep the leg 1
Noeller Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 Morrissey, Petan and Ehlers would all be in the AHL in a best case scenario...
Noeller Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 then back to the Dub with ye...... let 'em all "season" as long as possible...
RagingIce Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 then back to the Dub with ye...... let 'em all "season" as long as possible... I disagree. Ehlers has learned all he can in Juniors. Further, he's gained an undeserved reputation there as a diver. Goalie 1
Jpan85 Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 Nunbers he has put up comparable to Drouin last year.
Floyd Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 Stafford-Scheifele-Wheeler Ladd-Little-Frolik Ehlers-Perrault-Lowry Thorburn-ODell-Armia (Peluso, Halischuk) Trouba-Stuart Myers-Enstrom Buff-Chiarot (Postma, Harrison)
Noeller Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 Unless he comes into camp and totally dominates, I send him back to destroy CHL records...i don't personally believe it can hurt to go back for more Jr year when he's not desperately needed in Wpg.
Goalie Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 Jets do need a 3rd line lw tho. Ehlers will be a jet next season
Ducky Posted March 25, 2015 Author Report Posted March 25, 2015 In no order: Stafford?-Scheifele-Wheeler Ladd-Little-Perrault Frolik?-Lowry-Stempniak? He couldn't make the Sabres!
The Unknown Poster Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 I forgot about Armia. Also forgot about Burmi. lol Jets are going to look different next season. As for Ehlers, what is best for his development in the case of not being good enough to be an every-shift NHL player? Go back to junior and dominate and get bigger and stronger and more confident with the option of the AHL the following year? Or play poorly, get benched/scratched, lose confidence in the NHL? You really have to send him back. In fact the decision isnt even about him being too good for Juniors. If he's not good enough for the NHL he doesnt stay...if that means the AHL, that's great. In this case it means sending him to the best level he is eligable for.
Jimmy Pop Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 Stafford-Scheifele-Wheeler Ladd-Little-Frolik Ehlers-Perrault-Lowry Thorburn-ODell-Armia (Peluso, Halischuk) Trouba-Stuart Myers-Enstrom Buff-Chiarot (Postma, Harrison) I'd much rather see Perreault play the wing. Lowry has all the makings of a prototypical 3rd line centre for years and years...
Goalie Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 Then again if this team doesn't make the playoffs, it's possible we see some bigger changes
The Unknown Poster Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 Maurice Then again if this team doesn't make the playoffs, it's possible we see some bigger changes Maurice reiterated recently his earlier claim that when meeting with Chevy to discuss the job offer last year, Chevy said if the team didnt turn around they would be shipping out some guys and "getting younger".

Ducky Posted March 25, 2015 Author Report Posted March 25, 2015 Maurice Then again if this team doesn't make the playoffs, it's possible we see some bigger changes Maurice reiterated recently his earlier claim that when meeting with Chevy to discuss the job offer last year, Chevy said if the team didnt turn around they would be shipping out some guys and "getting younger". He said if the team hadn't made the playoffs or weren't in contention, they would be dealing assets and getting younger...they were buyers this deadline, which is what they wanted to be, so you would think he won't be wanting to get younger. Looking for the interview but I can't find it...
