Atomic Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announce today the club has signed International offensive tackle Zebrie Sanders. Sanders (6-6, 320, Florida State, December 4, 1989 in Columbia, South Carolina) was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 5th round of the 2012 NFL Draft, after spending from four seasons with the Florida State Seminoles. He was on the Bills injured list in 2012 and was released in training camp of 2013. Sanders started 50 career games at Florida State, the second most in the history of the school. He was selected All-ACC Conference as a senior in 2011.
braddman19 Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 LOL What the heck happened there. Looked like the entire line gaffed on that one. Early snap?
Mark H. Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 Awesome clip - future is bright for the Bombers' OL.
Jpan85 Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 They brought in a couple massive guys this year from the states with Mims and Sanders
MOBomberFan Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 Brilliant! Apparently, he thought the play had been blown dead due to defensive offsides, and had been coached to stay still to prevent any chance of the Oline being penalized for a false start. Whatever the case... it looks pretty funny and he's standing out in the worst way. Other than this... has anyone heard anything else about Mr Sanders?
Tracker Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 Apparently he was a 5th round draft pick by the Bills in 2012 but sat out all of 2013 due to hip injury (carrying 320 lb- not a surprise) and was idle all of last year. Lord knows, he is a load and I would not have to foot the bill for his meals. i hope the Bombers have a list of all-you-can-eat buffets in Winnipeg handy.
GCn20 Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 You can judge him by one play, I will look at his resume instead. Pretty impressive prospect.

Nobody is judging him by one play, it's just a funny video that had to be posted. It is one of the first things that comes up on Google when you search his name.

Mr Dee Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 This video should be tagged Zzzzzebrie Sanders. Isolated, it makes for unusual optics. It looks like the Bombers are leaving no stone (boulder in this case) unturned to get two solid, reliable OTs. About time.
sweep the leg Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 NFLdraftscout had him projected as a 2nd round pick.
GCn20 Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 Don't mind the interior of our DL, but we desperately need an upgrade at DE.
M.O.A.B. Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 We need to upgrade our pass rushers. I'm OK with our projected starting DTs - Bryant and Anderson but we need depth there both NI & IMP.
IC Khari Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 That looks like a Mike Kelly play from 2009, so brilliant it even fools the team running it
Atomic Posted April 2, 2015 Author Report Posted April 2, 2015 We already have lots of American DL. I wouldn't expect too many more on the roster before training camp unless they are planning on cutting some loose. Maybe 2 or 3 new ones. I wouldn't be surprised or disappointed if Peach is still starting for us, but Vega's spot should be up for grabs.

Tracker Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 I'm willing to cut Vega some slack, but if he and Peach are still here after training camp, we may be in trouble. SPuDS 1
gbill2004 Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 Pretty sure Vega got a fat signing bonus so unlikely he's going anywhere this season.
Westy Sucks Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 Vega = better than Peach. Need to upgrade Peach this year.
pigseye Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 The inside of the d-line is actually coming along Hickman 290 Harlan 281 Anderson 295 Turner 279 some pretty good beef inside. The outside could use a little work, maybe Oxendine will surprise.
