The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announce today the club has signed International wide receiver Kashif Montgomery, and International defensive back Gabe Lynn.

Montgomery (6-2, 200, Virginia Lynchburg, April 4, 1987 in Central Falls, Rhode Island) played high school football in his home state, and was considered one of the best to ever play the sport during his time at Central Falls High School.  He was undrafted in 2012 and played semi-pro football for the Rhode Island Wardogs.

Lynn (6-0, 204, Oklahoma, February 24, 1991 in Tulsa, Oklahoma) played in 44 games, starting 25, at Oklahoma. He finished his collegiate career with 116 tackles, four interceptions and 2.5 sacks. He was named an All Big-12 First Team in 2013 as a senior. Lynn was signed by the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent but was released in July 2014.

The club has also announced the release of International running back Sam McGuffie.

This could end up being one of the all time great stories.......could also be a complete nothing, but seems like there's potential for a really great story here...

He is a real life Forrest Gump. His momma said they was his magic legs. That boy could run like the wind would blow. Only problem is....even Forrest was smart enough to get into college. lol

Sounds like an intriguing prospect who, if he is as good as he seems, will be gone to the NFL in a year or two. Still, it would be a helluva story, good PR for the CFL, and maybe a well-deserved break for a young man who is chasing his dreams in spite of setbacks.

Looks like he dropped out to take care of his Kid and then had another kid.

If he has the speed and skills to make the Team as a reciever/returner than great!  If not, then he can move onto to another team/something else.
