Mr Dee Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 It's been said that if our goaltending is steady, if our discipline is maintained, and the Jets can attack with the same ferocity as they've been doing - in other words - if they have all their ducks in a row, then victory should be attained, maybe even, in six games. You weren't even trying, were you.Lord love a duck. How could you say such a thing? It was too subtle. Subtlety slides off my tongue and oozes from my fingers like water off a duck's back. SPuDS 1
New_Earth_Mud Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 Someone who is more familiar with the Ducks, how deep are they? Uh...first place in the conference deep! Just because their top line is a monster doesn't mean they're a one-line wonder. They also have Lowrys and Stempniaks on their team. And as strange as it sounds, I consider Ryan Getzlaf underrated. If cups were won on the sheer willpower of a team's captain...well the season would never end, as Getzlaf, Toews and Dustin Brown would be beating each other to death for eternity. Outside of knocking him out of the series with an injury, there is no amount of physicality that the Jets D can bring that will get Getzlaf to change his game. That said, Getzlaf normally plays setup man for Perry, and Perry can be taken off his game. Setup without the finish will work just fine for the Jets. I agree with this guy. ^^^

Jacquie Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 Jacquie, look who picked the Jets to be in quarter finals https://twitter.com/amellywood/status/588247792369401857 Not just the quarterfinals. His bracket has the Jets playing the Blues in the conference final. Between Arrow, his charity work, his fan interaction and now this, how can you not love the guy. FrostyWinnipeg 1
FrostyWinnipeg Posted April 15, 2015 Author Report Posted April 15, 2015 For those that do not get the Freep... The Park Theatre will be showing Jets games on its giant screen. http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/local/jets-on-theatres-giant-screen-299805771.html?cx_navSource=d-popular-views

The Unknown Poster Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 Accoring to sara orlesky, no ladd or perreault tonight altho thought i saw ladd was just maintenance. WHAT??? That cant be....
The Unknown Poster Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 Shawn Churchill @ShawnChurchill Ladd is purely maintenance.
Goalie Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 Yeah i know but orlesky tweeted that out, i was like WTF, everything i've seen is just maintenance. She's been wrong before tho. She didn't exactly provide any context to the tweet so i'm assuming it was just for the practice this morning.
The Unknown Poster Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 Greg Mackling @GMackWPG Coach Maurice says Mathieu Perrault is still 'game time' decision for @NHLJets @CJOBSports
Noeller Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 Reckon Ladder's been playing hurt for awhile now, so any rest he can get is good rest. Mr. Perfect and Ducky 2
The Unknown Poster Posted April 17, 2015 Report Posted April 17, 2015 Can someone go to the hotel and wake up Buff and Ladd. You know, our two leaders with cup experience who haven't shown up yet.... FrostyWinnipeg 1
The Unknown Poster Posted April 17, 2015 Report Posted April 17, 2015 Aside from Stafford and Wheeler the veterans on this team were terrible.
Mr. Perfect Posted April 17, 2015 Report Posted April 17, 2015 Stupid, selfish penalties (hi Mark Scheifele), defensive zone turnovers (hi Andrew Ladd - Where have you been the past month), and your best player being invisible (hi Dustin Byfuglien) against the best team in the conference makes for a very short series. The Unknown Poster and BomberFan 2
The Unknown Poster Posted April 17, 2015 Report Posted April 17, 2015 I know it's early. But I can't believe how the guys you'd expect to show up the most just disappeared tonight. Where's the character of Ladd and Buff? You've hot Scheif, Lowry and Trouba all kids playing their hearts out (bad penalty notwithstanding) and the leaders don't even get off the bus. Perreault needs to play Saturday. Period. I'm just so disappointed in these guys. Inexcusable.
Floyd Posted April 17, 2015 Report Posted April 17, 2015 Really seems like Ladd has a groin injury or something, he hasn't been himself for about 8-10 games now Enstrom is just too small to have on the ice against Getzlaf and Perry. Battling until Chiarot's penalty, not much hitting after that. Trouba and Chiarot were our only D to show up, Scheif line played well. Maybe Buff should be our third line winger...

Penalties killed us. Stupid penalties.
Goalie Posted April 17, 2015 Report Posted April 17, 2015 Scheifs penalty was a weak call considering it happened on every scrum b4 and after that one but Chiarot and Frolik were just bad. Frolik one killed us. It's 1 game tho. Eliminate the penalties and 2 bad bounce goals and we will be fine Mark F 1
Goalie Posted April 17, 2015 Report Posted April 17, 2015 Kesler should have got one for embellishment on the scheif one. Reality is Frolik penalty was the dumb one. Should be on the bench for a bit next game for that one. Refs did let the ducks get away with a couple tho. Trip on wheeler and the late hit on Chiarot should both have been called Mr. Perfect 1
sweep the leg Posted April 17, 2015 Report Posted April 17, 2015 Full acknowledgement that he shouldn't have done it, but... I thought the Scheifele penalty was weak. It was more push than punch. In a game that was played under prison rules that didn't look to be where the line in the sand should be. Goalie, Mark F and MOBomberFan 3
Goalie Posted April 17, 2015 Report Posted April 17, 2015 Buff was awful. Just awful. Ladd too. First ducks goal was on his give away The Unknown Poster 1
