sweep the leg Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 So how are they going to screw this up? Ducky 1
Jacquie Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 NHL Public Relations @PR_NHL The @EdmontonOilers have won the NHL Draft Lottery and now hold the first drafting position for the First Round of the 2015 #NHLDraft. Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger 6 minutes ago “@Real_ESPNLeBrun: Right now Oilers CEO Bob Nicholson just fainted”. So did Sabres gm Tim Murray. bigg jay 1
Jaxon Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Ha ha ha ha ha. He didn't seem too excited by the thought of Edmonton. In fairness though, Edmonton has great experience at turning top picks into mediocre NHLers.
rebusrankin Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Other than the Leafs not a franchise that deserves this less. Maybe he'll refuse to report.
bigg jay Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Sucks to be the teams that tanked to try to land that pick.
Floyd Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 McDavid on the phone with Lindros right now... FrostyWinnipeg 1
Goalie Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 He didn't seem happy and honestly I wouldn't be either. Edmonton is such a poorly run franchise. If I'm Edmonton I'm moving one or more of hall Eberle draisaitl or RNH for D help cuz without any legit D men it won't matter at all how good McDavid is
johnzo Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 I like what Noeller had to say about the oilers in a different thread: they need to be backing the money truck up to Chiarelli's door right about now. They've gotta do something to show they're serious about turning it around. The franchise's credibility will sink even lower if McDavid refuses to report. And as always lol Leafs.
Goalie Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 McDavid will go to Edmonton. I just think he would have preferred Toronto or even Buffalo.
FrostyWinnipeg Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Sucks to be the teams that tanked to try to land that pick. Oilers were bad but not deliberately bad IMHO. Now my views on Buffalo are well know. I hate what management did to that team. I feel that their fans have had to go through 2 years of tanking to get high draft picks and lost the lottery both years. On the bright side the #2 pick is almost as good.
IC Khari Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Oh well at least Evandet Kane will get to play with Jack Eikel LOL ...
Mr. Perfect Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 McDavid will absolutely be the missing piece, the answer in Edmonton... ...Just like Hall, RNH, and Yakupov all were FrostyWinnipeg 1
Goalie Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Eichel will be better because buffalo is actually building a team the right way. D and centers
Noeller Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Oh man am I excited. Get some defence and a tendy for next year and we are rockin in the AB capital. Stoked for next fall since the Jets are about done now.
Goalie Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Get some d and goaltending lol. Yup by trading hall Eberle RNH or and draisaitl plus. Oiler fans are awesome tho. Another first round pick to come save the franchise. Until Lowe macT and those guys are gone the oilers will suck. McDavid or not. FrostyWinnipeg 1
Noeller Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Big difference between McDavid and all the others who came before. Blueandgold and AtlanticRiderFan 2
Goalie Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 It's been said before. Oiler management will screw it up just like before and until the oilers start winning. Well. Nothing can be said to make me think otherwise. Great having all these skilled forwards but with no d or goaltending they won't win.
The Unknown Poster Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 They need a rule to prevent this from happening again. A team should not be rewarded for such poor management. I'm sure McDavid will report. It's what you do in sports. But his agent will probably have some tough question for management about the future. As much I would hate to see a player refuse to report I would laugh if it did happen. Ducky 1
HardCoreBlue Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Ha ha ha ha ha. He didn't seem too excited by the thought of Edmonton. In fairness though, Edmonton has great experience at turning top picks into mediocre NHLers. I was more amused by the GM from Buffalo and his reaction. Hello Eichel can hear you.
