gbill2004 Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 @DarrinBauming: Winnipegger and @WinnipegRifles product Kurt Goodrich told Mike O'Shea this morning "his heart wasn't in it," and has left camp. #Bombers @BobIrvingCJOB: Kurt Goodrich leaves bomber mini camp saying he doesn't want to play football anymore @PentonKirk: #Bombers receiver Kurt Goodrich calls it a career after one practice today in Florida, saying his heart's not in it.
gbill2004 Posted April 19, 2015 Author Report Posted April 19, 2015 Wow. This is a huge surprise. Is he having some personal issues?? Came out of nowhere...he was pumped when he signed with the Bombers a couple months ago. Brett Carter getting a call from Walters today?
M.O.A.B. Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Wow. Brett Carter gets another chance to be a part of the team. And "Nic Demski at #2" bandwagon will get some new passengers.
Noeller Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Jesus Christ.....what a ridiculous turn of events. SPuDS and B-F-F-C 2
gbill2004 Posted April 19, 2015 Author Report Posted April 19, 2015 This does make taking Demski at 2 a little more possible, but I still think Walters goes OL with the first pick.
Goalie Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 I dunno, whatever. If his hearts not in it, it's not in it. It's too bad cuz he was pretty pumped a month or 2 ago when he signed. Hope all his well with Goodrich and his state of mind right now. Regarding Demski at 2, I think it's a possibility however there is also the strong possibility that Demski much like Brett Jones did with Calgary, tells people he only wants to play for the Bombers, I mean in this day and age, i think drafting a guy in the first round, you want him to be there after his first contract is up. If Demski only wants to play for the bombers, teams could pass on him and he could drop to wpg in the 2nd round, only due to the fact that i'm not sure a team would take a guy who in all liklihood would bolt in a couple years once his rookie contract is up. It wouldn't shock me to see teams pass on Demski if he truly only wants to play for the bombers. You hear all these questions about who is your favorite team, have you ever put a watermelon on your head, those questions seem crazy but i think they matter cuz teams want guys who will be there for the long haul, not just guys who will play out their first contract and bolt back home which i Think demski might do.
Noeller Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Via Darren Bauming: "Had a chat with Kurt Goodrich. Says his passion and love for football isn't there anymore. Described Mike O'Shea as a class act. #Bombers"
CodyT Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Kurt also did this with the bisons... just saying' Westy Sucks 1
Big3G Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Different with Bosons: undersized coming from high school, and not prepared. Not the case here. Field work 4x a week and gym 6. If your heart isn't in it that's tough. Must have been a hard decision for him.
MTA Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Has done this b4 with the bison, I just don't understand or get it. Feel bad for the rifles too
CodyT Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 I've heard from a few reliable sources that although Kurt is a hell of a talent, he's got a poor attitude and is known to be a diva. Noeller and MTA 2
Noeller Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 ^^^ this makes a lot of sense based on current evidence. I'm curious if going up against Murican DBs got to him...
CodyT Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 "Apparently" Kurt is used to being the best and when he's out shined, he becomes a pouter.
gbill2004 Posted April 19, 2015 Author Report Posted April 19, 2015 "Apparently" Kurt is used to being the best and when he's out shined, he becomes a pouter.Interesting. Good thing he left then. No need for a bad attitude pretty boy who's not prepared to put in the work. Did he expect to be annointed the number one WR on the first day of camp?
gbill2004 Posted April 20, 2015 Author Report Posted April 20, 2015 Other Bomber board is saying he's going through some personal issues at the moment. Who knows...
gbill2004 Posted April 20, 2015 Author Report Posted April 20, 2015 I haerd codyt is also a diva who gets dressed in his moms closetNow this is some breaking news. Where's Arash? CodyT 1
CodyT Posted April 20, 2015 Report Posted April 20, 2015 It's kind of funny, a friend of mine (and former teamate of Kurt) called this exact thing happening after he signed.
CodyT Posted April 20, 2015 Report Posted April 20, 2015 I haerd codyt is also a diva who gets dressed in his moms closet You some sort of stocker...? Only closet I'm getting dressed in is YOUR mom's closet. Now I'll let this topic go before it becomes too childish bomberstan4life 1
gbill2004 Posted April 20, 2015 Author Report Posted April 20, 2015 It's kind of funny, a friend of mine (and former teamate of Kurt) called this exact thing happening after he signed.Does he have a mental illness? Lazy? Can't commit?
CodyT Posted April 20, 2015 Report Posted April 20, 2015 It's kind of funny, a friend of mine (and former teamate of Kurt) called this exact thing happening after he signed.Does he have a mental illness? Lazy? Can't commit? I can't comment any further as I really don't know. Just that he doesn't like to be out performed and has a bad attitude when things don't go his way. No idea what the reason is, and of course this is purely speculation. He may have left camp for a serious personal reason, for all I know.
Floyd Posted April 20, 2015 Report Posted April 20, 2015 Could Bogo be involved in this somehow? CodyT 1
gbill2004 Posted April 20, 2015 Author Report Posted April 20, 2015 Could Bogo be involved in this somehow? As in Zach Bogosian? CodyT 1
gbill2004 Posted April 20, 2015 Author Report Posted April 20, 2015 I've played organized sports, and I get it when your heart isn't in it anymore. It's just strange that 2 months ago, his lifelong "dream came true" by signing with the Bombers. And two months later he's done with football. Sounds like a confused young man.
rebusrankin Posted April 20, 2015 Report Posted April 20, 2015 Shocked and bummed. Was excited to see him in TC.
